ANNOUNCEMENT: Triangle Italian American Heritage Association will be selling pizza fritta at Festa Italiana North Carolina on September 19!

Pizza fritta (fried pizza) is a traditional Italian street food originating from Naples. Instead of being baked in an oven, pizza dough is deep-fried to create a crispy, puffy exterior and a soft, tender interior. It can be prepared as a savory main or a sweet treat. TIAHA's Tony Luise confirmed that their pizza fritta will be served with powdered sugar or cinnamon. If you have never had one, you should consider trying it at Festa on Hunter Street and Town of Apex Government Campus!
