What is a Court of Honor in Scouting?

It’s a special ceremony where Scouts are recognized for everything they’ve accomplished over the span of about the last 3 months. From earning merit badges and rank advancements to celebrating the adventures and memories they have made along the way.

It’s not just about the awards, though… it’s about building confidence, community, and watching these young men grow into leaders.

Troop 374 had much to celebrate last night at our end-of-summer Court of Honor. These Scouts are proof that hard work is truly rewarding! Proud of you, Troop!

It’s hard to sum up the experience the Philmont crew just came off of in just a few words. And 50 pictures can’t really paint a picture of the awesomeness this ranch provides. What a special place Philmont is. It’s an emotional, spiritual, and physically challenging opportunity for a willing scout and one I can personally say should not miss. Our boys went into this trip with animosity, fear, the unknown. Each are coming off this trip with new found respect for nature and the outdoors, working as a team, and with new found outlook on life I believe. So glad each of us got to experience this. We are all leaving changed in the best of ways.
