Endorsed by BSN SPORTS for excellence in leadership, competitive success, and student-athlete achievement, Director of Athletics Anthony Bennett was named the CIAA AD of the Year.
Fayetteville State finished last spring and fall with historic academic wins, posting departmental academic grade point averages of 3.42 and 3.33. Every program scored a 3.0 or better average last semester.
“These honors reflect the collective commitment of our student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and campus partners,” said Fayetteville State’s AD Bennett. “We take great pride in representing Fayetteville State University with excellence in competition, in the classroom, and in the community.”
During the 2025–26 academic year, Fayetteville State celebrated success across multiple sports, including seven conference championships, divisional titles, and individual accolades. The Broncos had a total of five CIAA Athletes of the Year and four Coaches of the Year.
Fayetteville State’s continued recognition at the conference level reflects a holistic approach to student-athlete development. The university’s athletic programs emphasize academic accountability, leadership development, and community service while competing at a championship level across the CIAA.
