Anxiety, depression, worry, panic, fear. None of these things define you. They aren't part of your God-given identity. Freedom is possible when we know who we really are. đź’›

You can't unsee that. And it changes EVERYTHING. Yes, abandonment was Jesus' perception on the cross as he bore all the weight of our sins, but his Father never actually turned away from him. Likewise, the Father never turns away from us. We are never abandoned or forsaken. He hears our cries and meets us with compassion.❤️

What joy to be His sons and daughters!

God wants us all to know how to live as sons and daughters. Even if we grow up with earthly fathers (and mothers) who are far from reflecting the goodness and love of our Heavenly Father, he can redeem and restore our broken relationships. He makes forgiveness possible even as he welcomes us into his perfect love. Wholeheartedness is always his will. When our hearts are whole, we are free to live from a place of belonging, knowing our true identity as beloved daughters and sons.❤️

I’ve lived through seasons where I wondered if God had gone quiet on me.

When prayers felt like they bounced off the bedroom ceiling in the middle of the night.

When I whispered, “If You’re good, why does this hurt so much?”

But here’s what I’ve come to know, deep down in the marrow:

Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean He’s not here.
Just because it hurts doesn’t mean He’s not good.

I’ve seen His kindness show up in the ache.

I’ve seen His faithfulness when I didn’t feel strong enough to believe it.

If you’re in a season like that, I want you to know this: You’re not forgotten. And you’re not alone.

He’s with you. Even here.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you;
he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
- Deuteronomy 31:8

How will you embrace childlikeness as you pursue God’s kingdom today? Maybe it looks like taking time to walk in the park or play with your dog. Perhaps you have a desire to draw, or paint, or sing. Is there a game you haven’t played in years? Or a beloved book you haven’t read since childhood? The possibilities are endless. Invite Him to join you in whatever you choose, and ask Him for a fresh perspective on His kingdom, and your place in it, as you seek the hidden treasure of His immeasurable love. -Shay S. You probably feel the tension, the discomfort—perhaps a sense of instability or anxiety. Am I right? We know that something isn't right. But what can we do?

The tension we feel right now is God’s way of reminding us that the ways of the world are not his way, and they should not be our way. Polarization and confusion, fear and violence—these have no part in God’s kingdom.

It’s easy to become cynical in the face of such affliction. But there is a better way, a better perspective, a better hope.

A while back, I signed up for a pottery class.

Turns out, it’s a lot harder than it looks.

My masterpiece? A lopsided, slightly awkward little vessel. It was kind of charming, if you squint at it from one angle.

As I stared at that humble little pot, spinning slowly on the wheel, I thought of how God is the Divine Potter, and we are the clay.

But oh my word, ... how many times are we determined to be both the clay AND the Potter?

We try to form a version of ourselves that looks more beautiful.

Here’s the thing I’m learning:

We are not called to mold our lives into something impressive. We are called to yield to the Potter who is forming something eternal.

We don’t shape God into our image. He shapes us into His.

Can I be honest? Sometimes the vessel that He gives me? Well … it looks …. off.

There are days I look at my life and think,
“This wasn’t the plan.”
“This isn’t what I pictured.”
“This isn’t what I prayed for.”

Thank God for this truth: He is not after perfect vessels. He’s after surrendered clay. Even a crooked vessel, when formed by the Potter, can carry something beautiful.

That’s true for me, and that’s true for you, my friend. Your vessel, your life, is one-of-a-kind, purpose-filled, and capable of holding His Spirit.

What if the Body of Christ truly lived out these verses? Can you imagine the witness this would bear to the world? đź’—
