Ashes: Years of drug abuse • Jail stays • Sleeping porch to porch
Beauty: Both graduated Hope Center in 2024 • 4 years clean • Tosha now supervisor at Hustle Recovery counseling 2 women • Tevin has an honest job, soon to be a dad • Tosha soon to be a grandmother

He's still doing it today.

Chasing my Michael

In honor of Overdose prevention month, I want to introduce you to Michael and Anastasia, in the picture below. Lynn and I picked them up and took them out to eat and to a movie!

We tried everything to make their lives as normal as possible, even though they were in the thick of their drug use! 

Both are gone! Way too soon! They were not together when it happened but both were trying to get clean. Trying to get clean over and over!

Look how beautiful they are! They were just trying to survive this drug life that had chosen them. Why would I say that? Watch the Netflex series “Painkiller”. It shows how a large drug company killed our kids, got rich and got away with it.

They were beautiful! Beautiful people that had their whole lives ahead of them! They could of been models. They could of been anything they wanted to be.

Yes, they did choose to try the drug but never did they “chose” to die for that drug!

As a mother of an addict, I am left with a lot of pictures of the memories and that’s all!

Please love your addict. If you don’t have a son or daughter that is an addict, please, please don’t judge! Just be grateful! Be kind to those that do have someone that is fighting this life! You can’t possibly understand what it is like!

I miss my beautiful Michael and I miss him every minute of every day! I miss what he could have been! I miss seeing his beautiful face! I just miss him!

“They are talking about me!”

I thought I would let a girl who I am trying to help write my post this morning. This is what she messaged me last night!

The message:
Also , you should know a lot of addicts around here especially in our group have a lot of respect for you. I heard your name 3 times this week. A guy the other day , I think his name was Zach , said that he was friends with Michael and I told him that you were trying to help me and he said, “she won’t give up on you either” and the group of people with whom I met , were talking about how they wished you were their mother too. Almost every addict knows you and Michael and really respect what you are doing. I just thought I’d let you know ♥️

I just love that!! I want them to talk about how I helped Zach get clean! I want to be known as the mama that will help them and the mama that has the answer to help get them clean!!! I am working on it! I need help!

I love you my beautiful Michael!! I know you would want me to help your friends!
