The Center for Volunteer Caregiving is a nonprofit organization created in 1992 to provide unskilled volunteer services to older adults and adults with disabilities living independently. Services include help around the house, friendly visits, transportation to medical appointments and basic needs, and respite visits for unpaid family caregivers. Their vision is to create a community of belonging where all people are welcomed, connected, cared for and valued.

Families Together envisions a community free of homelessness, with families thriving together. Through direct support and advocacy, they assist families with children as they transition from homelessness to sustainable housing and stable homes. They believe every family deserves a home and children should never have to wonder where they're going to sleep at night. They strive to connect families to stable homes as quickly as possible and remain connected with them to help ensure they begin the process of bettering their lives. Keeping families together during this traumatic time is critical for their success as well as the community's.

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is the nation's leading veterans service organization dedicated to improving the total well-being of wounded, ill, and injured veterans, service members and their families.They help wounded warriors find renewed purpose, build connections in their communities and provide vital support to their families and caregivers. All the services provided by WWP are offered at no cost to the warrior and their families. Together, they are changing the way our nation cares for its veterans-ensuring no warrior is left behind.

Holt Brothers Foundation focuses on supporting the kids and families of those facing cancer since 2000. When an adult is diagnosed with cancer, their children have to navigate the ways the diagnosis impacts them and their families. This organization provides children with age-appropriate information and tools to help them process their parents' cancer diagnosis and create memory-making experiences that support their mental and emotional well-being.

We are excited to feature our Spetember winner of Triangle NC Cares brought to you by the Ricci Law Firm Injury Lawyers. Our winner is Partnerships for Transformation-Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition!

The organization hosts the Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition where teams compete for Raleigh's jolliest holiday sing off award. Teams of local elementary and high schools, colleges, local businesses and members of the local community compete is this festive competition. The event benefits the Wake Tech's Fostering Bright Futures Program.

The rescue began with a soft spot for tough cases- dogs labeled aggressive, bite cases, and those needing deeper rehab. Bully breeds have always been their focus, they’ve welcomed any dog at risk due to behavioral challenges. Their priority is placing community-safe bully breeds into loving, forever homes. Their mission has refined over time, but their heart remains the same: to rescue, rehabilitate, and responsibly rehome the dogs who need us the most.

We are excited to feature our June winner of Triangle NC Cares brought to you by the Ricci Law Firm Injury Lawyers. Our winner is Journeymen Triangle!

Journeymen Triangle mentors young men through community, accountability, and personal growth. Their mission is (FIRE- Forging, Independence, Resilience and Emotional maturity). The organization focuses on the effects social media and phone use are having on young men today, quietly reshaping how they grow up, often stunting key parts of their emotional and social development. This has created a generation of isolated, anxious and unmotivated men without any grounded community or purpose. They are striving to help change that by conducting ten weekly circles across four schools, reaching seventy-nine students, plus bi-monthly Journeymen meetings and mentor training sessions. All this to help and empower these young men to consciously choose a new, healthy adult identity in a safe and nurturing way.

Able to serve is a faith-based, community-funded nonprofit organization that believes every person, regardless of their abilities, is created by God to live a full life. Their core service is a day program that provides adults with disabilities with a supportive environment where they can reach their full potential. Their focus is on equipping them with life skills to be more independent and connecting them with opportunities to use their abilities to serve others in their community.

We are excited to feature our April winner of Triangle NC Cares brought to you by the Ricci Law Firm Injury Lawyers. Our winner is Fayetteville Animal Protection Society!

The mission of the FAPS is to provide a licensed, no-kill shelter for homeless animals until adopted into a loving and caring lifetime environment; to reduce the population of stray animals; and to promote responsible pet ownership. They are the only Cumberland County no-kill, non-profit animal shelter supported by volunteers, grants and individual contributions. They receive no state or federal funding to operate and rely solely on the community to support its mission to help these animals find their forever homes.
