Wellspring had such a great work crew in yesterday painting our walls and doing other necessary chores!!

We want to thank the Lewisburg United Methodist Church Youth Group for bringing out their hard-working team.

They went through 5 gallons of paint in an hour and a half and helped us put away much of the IGA/United Way donations we received this past week.

We are getting ready to put up a new mural inside!!!!

Wellspring is overwhelmed in a good way by the INCREDIBLE amount of food donated to us at the Lewisburg IGA this past week!

The Founders Day Food Drive was so successful that now we have real Chef Boyardee canned pasta to give out, plus tons of pasta, very nice Hunt tomato sauce with meat, rice, pinto beans and much more!!

Thank you to 59 News, the Cornerstone IGA, the United Way, and to everyone who bought us a bag of food!! Every donation matters and we appreciate our community SO much!!

Our June Eye Care Clinic with Dr. Cathy Hyndman is coming up soon!!!

Come join us on Thursday, June 25th from 1-2pm to learn about caring for your eyes in the summer months!

Attendees will receive a free pair of sunglasses, thanks to our partnership with the WVU School of Nursing!!

All heath care advocacy programming at Wellspring is free and open to all 😍

Wellspring is going into this summery weekend full of gratitude because we served over 150 neighbors yesterday through our combined programming!

Yesterday we had neighbors taking showers and doing laundry; we had kids learning about dental hygiene with Dr. Tricia Lally and WVSOM partner, Dezi; then we also served up a good pizza lunch to lots of folks too!

Thanks to our amazing volunteers through WVSOM, Seed Sowers and our fantastic volunteer community, including Diana, Velda, Lynn and Vivian!!!

Thanks for being part of our community, everyone, and have a safe and fun weekend!!

Free PIZZA lunch today at Wellspring!!

Bring your kids and stay for popcorn and a fun educational session on dental hygiene from 1-2pm!!

A note for parents of children in kindergarten to 5th grade!!

We are having a special program for your kids THIS THURSDAY at 1pm at Wellspring!!

Bring your whole family for a free pizza lunch from 12pm-1pm with salad, fruit and a brownie and then stay for an educational hour about dental hygiene!!!

We will have a puppet show, short film on dental hygiene, free toothbrushes and toothpaste and a POPCORN snack!

Wellspring is excited to announce our very FIRST annual fundraising event!!!

This fall on Thursday, September 17th we will host a dinner and silent auction at the Clingman Center in Lewisburg.

We will be visiting area businesses over the next month to ask for donations, but also want to ask our community....who would you like to see donate to our silent auction fundraiser??

Leave your suggestions in the comments OR if you are a local business and want to donate a gift card, vacation package, event ticket or item from your business, please be in touch with our Americorps member, Kailee Short at [email protected].

We are really excited about putting together an incredible silent auction to benefit our community of neighbors here at Wellspring!!

Tickets will go on sale late June/early July!!!

Free PIZZA lunch at Wellspring from 12-1pm for our monthly hot meal program! A very generous member of our community has paid for Little Caesar's pizza for everyone 🥰

A slice of pizza, salad, fruit and a brownie for all! We are located at 223 Main St in Rainelle and all are welcome for this free community meal.

***A special note for parents of kids aged K-5!!

Bring your kids and stay after lunch for a free kids' program on dental hygiene! We will have free popcorn, toothpaste and toothbrushes for your kids! WVSOM will bring puppets and there will be a short educational movie too 🤩

We have more great news at Wellspring!!

Please join us in welcoming Kailee Short, our summer Americorps through the THRIVE program!!! Kailee will be with us for June and July and is helping with our (NEW) annual fundraiser coming up in September, along with supporting capacity for our Rupert mobile pantry and healthcare advocacy programs.

Give a warm Wellspring welcome to Kailee the next time you are in and remember Chair Yoga at 2pm today 😀

Hi, my name is Kailee Short and I am from Asbury, WV. I am working with AmeriCorps this summer as a VISTA Summer Associate at Wellspring of Greenbrier. I am currently entering my senior year at Fairmont State University studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. Over the past few summers I served two terms with AmeriCorps, which is where I found my passion for non-profit work and serving my community.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy hanging out with friends and shopping, riding side-by-sides, going out on the lake and just being outside in the warm weather. Over the next few months, I look forward to connecting with my community and meeting new people this summer!

Wellspring is feeling grateful to our community after SUCH a successful pantry this morning!!

We would like to thank Swift Level Fine Meats for the ground beef donation, Ben's Salad Bowl in Crawley for donated lettuce & kale, the Greenbrier County Humane Society for donating dog and cat food to us EVERY month!!

We were able to offer such great nutritious food to our neighbors this morning and we served 334 individuals in 132 households with 82 new-to-Wellspring neighbors!!!

Last but certainly not least, I want to thank our tireless volunteers! They pick up donations in their trucks, some of them drive 60+ miles just to volunteer with us - these folks are why we can do as much as we do....we love you Wellspring volunteers!!!

P.S. We will have more detergent and Mac & Cheese bites at our next pantry....Tuesday, June 23rd from 5-7pm!!
