12-year-old Jorge Sandoval was on his way to Vallecitos School Tuesday morning when he was struck by a trash truck in front of the Grange. He was airlifted to the hospital and has undergone surgery on both legs.

Our Hospitality Committee had been discussing ways to help raise funds for his family, but we learned that a GoFundMe has already been set up, so we would like to help spread the word about that instead.

If you are able, please donate to help with Jorge’s medical bills and recovery expenses. His road to recovery will be long, and every bit of support will mean so much to him and his family.

Many hands make light work!

The Rainbow Valley Grange is run solely by volunteers. We’d like to give a huge thank you to Michele, Jon and Shawn for the demolition of our bathroom. We are getting it ready to convert into an ADA bathroom! We are keeping the cost down as much as possible, so the help of our community members is incredibly important!

If you’d like to get involved and help out, we will be continuing with projects every Saturday in June, starting June 6th!

📢 Crafters/Artisans, would you attend a Local Craft De-Stash Event?

• The Date would be Saturday July 11th. The event will be 3 hours long with a 9am Start time.

• The event would be at the Rainbow Valley Grange.

• The cost would be $20 for an outdoor 10x10 space. (You could share a space with a friend if you’d like.)

• You would be able to buy, sell or swap unused craft supplies, unfinished projects as well as overstock items that you’ve been wanting to offload.

• You would be responsible for promoting your space!!

A Better Bathroom

Rainbow Valley Grange has been working to build a better bathroom. One that Everyone can use – a larger stall, a wider hallway, a sink you can use from a chair. Because everyone should be able to answer the call of nature with dignity and privacy!

Unfortunately, unscheduled delays have resulted in rising costs, and they do not have the funds to finish what was started. Can you Help? Rainbow Valley Grange needs just $4,000 to complete their project!
