Today, we enjoyed the first "First Thursday" concert of the season performed by Paul Citti on the Rainbow Room Wurlitzer!

Paul performed music from a wide variety of genres each with a spring theme which included such pieces as "April Showers" on this drizzly April day.

Building on the theme of our last program "Pizza & Pipes!", this month's theme was "Pastries & Pipes!"

Thank you to GSTOS member Jill Fraser for conceiving and organizing these food-themed events!

Audience members enjoyed the concert, pastries and a tour of our walk-in organ chambers. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Next month's "First Thursday" concert will be on May 7th at 2:00PM at the Rahway Senior Center. Next month's theme will be "Pies & Pipes!"

We hope to see you there!

Join us on Thursday! Thank you to TAPinto Rahway for sharing!

Today, we had a special event at the Rahway Senior Center, “Pizza & Pipes” featuring Ian Fraser at the historic Rainbow Room Wurlitzer theatre organ, to promote our upcoming season of free “First Thursday” concerts which starts on April 2nd at 2:00PM!

A large and appreciative audience of newcomers, regulars, and members enjoyed pizza and a mini-concert. Ian showcased the range of the theatre organ with popular selections from Queen, The Phantom of the Opera, The Blob and The Wizard of Oz.

After the show, people had a chance to tour the organ and sit down at the console to give it a try!

Thank you to GSTOS member Jill Fraser for conceiving and organizing the event! Next month's theme will be “Pastries & Pipes!”

We hope to see you at one of our upcoming shows!

Today, we welcomed Juan Cardona Jr. back to the festively decorated Rahway Senior Center for a Christmas concert on the Rainbow Room Wurlitzer! Juan made full use of the resources of the instrument with his creative arrangements of classic and lesser-heard holiday tunes.

First Thursday concerts have now entered their annual winter hiatus. We look forward to welcoming audiences back to the Rahway Senior Center in spring of 2026! Stay tuned for announcements and check out our page for the other upcoming events happening this holiday season!
