Thank you to everyone who made this years PONY Opening Ceremony a success! What a great night!

Thank you to Bro. Walter Edwards for opening us in prayer and SBHS JROTC for presenting the colors.
Thank you to SBHS Student Council for playing along side our newly formed CHAMPIONS League, where athletes of all special needs are welcome to play!
Thank you to Mrs Jackie Robbins for singing the National Anthem so beautifully.
Thank you to all of our food trucks that came out tonight.

We would love to offer a huge thank you to local veteran, Mr. Glen Guidry for throwing out this seasons first pitch and for his service to our country.
Mr. Guidry served in the United States Army from June 1969 to April 1972 as a Sergeant in A Company, 1st Battalion, 506 Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne/Air Assault Division . He was stationed in Vietnam from October 1970 to March 1972.
During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and the Air Medal. He also received the Purple Heart for critical injuries sustained in combat.

For all of our PONY League parents and coaches, we are so excited about opening weekend!

🇺🇸🍔⚾️🥎Festivities begin this evening! Opening ceremony will begin at 5:30, please have your athlete here and lined up by 5:15. There will be food trucks, a homerun derby for ages 14 and under, and a base running contest for athletes 14 and under.

Make plans to come out for PONY League Opening Weekend March 20th and 21st! Opening Cemermony will begin at 5:30pm on Friday night and we will have plenty of food trucks to make supper easy.
We will also have our very first CHAMPIONS League game that night at 6:15pm!

If you have unused or outgrown baseball/softball gear like cleats, bats, gloves, helments, etc that are still in decent shape you would like to part with, we may have a solution for you!

If you would like to umpire for South Beauregard Recreation District in the upcoming PONY League season, please fill out this form below and make plans to attend our umpire clinic. All individuals who wish to umpire for SBRD2 this season must attend. On the evening of February 12th there will be a meal provided.

Athletic officials are needed in every sport at every level. We are so thankful for the many individuals from our community and beyond that step up every year to make our season possible!

The purpose of this clinic is to coach all individuals who desire to umpire South Beau PONY League. -Class room training will be February 12, 2026 from 5:30PM-7:30PM at the South Beauregard Recreation District Community Center. -Field training will be February 14, 2026 from 9AM-11AM at the South Bea...

Due to the concern of incliment weather, the coaches clinic originally scheduled for South Beau PONY League coaches on January 25th has been rescheduled to Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 2pm-4pm.
Please stay safe, we look forward to see you next weekend as we prepare ourselves for a successful season.

If your athlete is 8U or 10U SOFTBALL there will be an open, optional athlete evaluation held for each age group at the South Beauregard Recreation District 2 Athletic Complex at 5pm on January 19, 2026. (Athletes are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early to warm up and stretch.)
Coaches of each age group will be present to evaluate all athletes in their age group who attend. All athletes who attend the evaluation will be available for coaches to draft during their coaches meeting immediately following. Any athlete who does not attend the optional evaluation will be randomly placed to a team.

We will be holding late registration TOMORROW Wednesday January 14th from 2-5 pm at the South Beau Rec District Community Center! If you have been unable to register your child come by and see us tomorrow afternoon for one final day of registration!
