NLCA vs Alpha Academy was well worth seeing, both teams came out throwing knockout punches and for the most part they both withheld eachothers best blows to finish the half NL 13 Alpha 12. This is NL's first year and they only field 11 players, four of them are girls. Best believe they have their bright spots on the field. But what slowed NL down was lack of bodies with several players playing both sides of the ball stamina becomes a problem. That's where Alpha took advantage and managed to score two more touchdowns in the 2nd half to pull away and win 24-13

A summary of North Carolina Community Foundation's generosity in action: impacting 2025 in such a special way.

Here is a heartfelt thank you for your support

Dear NCCF and its affiliates Hoke & Moore County Community Foundations,

On behalf of Sandhills Machine, Inc., I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous support and commitment to youth development in our community.

Because of your investment, we are able to provide student-athletes in rural and undeserved areas with opportunities that extend far beyond the basketball court. Your support helps remove financial barriers, expand access to structured programming, and create pathways for academic success, leadership development, and college exposure.

Your contribution is not only impacting our organization, it is directly changing the lives of the young people we serve. Through your partnership, our student-athletes are gaining confidence, discipline, and opportunities that will shape their futures in meaningful ways.

We are truly grateful for your belief in our mission and your dedication to strengthening communities across North Carolina. We look forward to continuing this partnership and sharing the ongoing impact of your support.

With sincere appreciation,

Cash Sutton
