Parents, let’s talk for a minute! 👀

Think back to when you were 15 or 16 years old.

Did you have somebody outside of your family who could sit down with you, answer your questions about life, and help you see possibilities you hadn’t even considered?

Or were you just out here figuring things out as you went? 😂

Here’s my question:

If you could go back and give your 16-year-old self ONE piece of advice about your future, what would it be? 🤔

This is part of why we love creating opportunities for our young people to meet professionals and community leaders.

🚀 YOUR FUTURE IS A JOINT EFFORT!

Success doesn’t always happen in a straight line. Sometimes the journey takes unexpected turns, but every step can move you closer to your purpose!

This Tuesday, we’re welcoming Dr. Taylor McKoy, DC to the Mogul Minds Speaker Series for an inspiring conversation about resilience, intentional choices, and what it means to keep moving forward.

From fitness trainer to licensed massage therapist to chiropractor, Dr. Taylor’s journey is proof that your path doesn’t have to be perfect to be purposeful.

And in honor of National Chiropractic Health Month, we’ll also explore how taking care of our bodies plays a role in building the futures we want.

Tomorrow night, we’re creating a space where young people can have fun, connect, win some prizes AND talk about taking care of their mental wellness—without it feeling like another lecture. 🙌🏾

Apparently our kids have gotten a little TOO used to the camera. 😂📸

We were in the middle of a teamwork activity last night when Mrs. Brandy pulled out her phone to check her notes.

Immediately: “Oooooh, picture!” 😂

And just like that… teens started posing.

The funny part? Nobody was actually taking a picture. 😭😂

Ms. Renee, one of our amazing parent volunteers, has become our unofficial photographer/videographer and is usually somewhere nearby capturing all the little moments that happen during our programs.

And whew, we missed having her last night! 😂 We did THREE interactive activities to reinforce skills and keep things fun and engaging. The photos and videos would’ve been A1. 😭😂

Apparently the kids missed her too, because at this point they see a phone come out and automatically know what time it is. 😂📸

We love the workshops, lessons and big moments—but honestly, it’s little things like this that let us know they’re getting comfortable here. ❤️

And yes… we took the picture after that. 😂❤️💜💛

Sometimes your next step starts with the thing you already love. ❤️💜💛

Earlier this week, Leadership Academy welcomed Coach Jeff for our latest Mogul Minds session—and this one came with a little movement! 😂

Coach Jeff shared how his passion for stepping eventually opened doors far beyond step—travel, public speaking, building a brand, meeting new people and ultimately building a business.

One of the biggest lessons of the night?

Your future takes time.

We often see where someone is now without seeing everything it took to get there. And our young people don’t have to have their whole lives figured out today—they just have to keep developing what they’re good at, use their voice and stay open to where it might take them.

And then we stopped talking about stepping and actually STEPPED. 😂👏🏾

Members of Coach Jeff’s team demonstrated before teaching a step to the entire room—students and instructors included! 😂 We loved watching our young people step outside their comfort zones, try something new and have some fun doing it.

Thank you, Coach Jeff, for pouring into our young people and reminding them:

You don’t have to know exactly where you’re going yet. You just have to be willing to take your next step. ❤️

TWO PROGRAMS. ONE MISSION. ❤️💜💛

Tuesday, our young people were at Leadership Academy.
Tonight, they were in the courtroom for Teen Court.

And dare we say … the growth is showing. 🥹

Tonight we watched young people stand before a judge, deliver opening statements, question witnesses, think on their feet, work as a team and step into roles that require real confidence and responsibility.

But some of our favorite moments were the ones you can’t fully see in these pictures.

It’s watching a young person who once barely spoke begin finding their voice. It’s seeing returning members walk into the courtroom a little taller and more confident than they did last year. It’s watching young people who weren’t quite sure about us at first start realizing, “Okay… I actually like it here.” 😂❤️

That’s the work.

Leadership isn’t something young people only need to hear about. They need spaces where they can practice it, grow into it and discover what they’re capable of.

We’re incredibly proud of what we saw tonight—and even more excited about who these young people are becoming.
