Chairman’s Message:

The Radford City Public Schools’ Partners for Excellence Foundation Inc., is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, organization that has been established to promote academics, arts, and athletics within the school division. As most are aware, state and federal funding for capital projects has greatly diminished in recent years, leaving school divisions with little-to-no funding for neither

facility maintenance / improvements, nor funding for projects to advance the learning experiences of our children. Therefore, the subject foundation seeks to fill this void. The Partners for Excellence Foundation will work diligently with other supporting organizations, such as the Radford High School Foundation, the Band Boosters, and the Athletic Boosters, to maximize efforts in supporting the advancement in opportunities for all students in the division. I would like to encourage everyone to visit the Public Education Foundation page on the Radford City Public Schools' website to learn more about the projects that are currently being undertaken, and to learn how you may contribute. It is an honor and privilege to serve as Chairman of the Partners for Excellence Foundation. With your assistance and teamwork, we can continue the tradition of excellence in Radford City Schools. Hello Everyone:

Recently, the Radford City Public Schools completed the renovation of the RHS track! For this, we are very thankful to the school division and to the donors to the Partners for Excellence Foundation!

Now, we turn our attention to the next need of the school division ……
At McHarg Elementary, specifically, the playground area, the school division has a goal to provide equal facilities for all students, regardless of abilities. Therefore, Dr. Joyce and Mr. Keister secured recommendations and quotes from a firm that specializes in this type of equipment.

Today, the Radford City Schools Partners for Excellence Foundation begins a fundraising campaign to assist the school division in the purchase and installation of the needed playground equipment at McHarg Elementary. The fundraising goal is $97,000.

Please consider a donation to the Partners for Excellence Foundation for this very worthwhile effort.

As a fundraising effort for the Partners for Excellence Foundation, the New River Community College Concert Series and The Radford City Schools Partners for Excellence Foundation have partnered together to proudly present Wilson Fairchild for the NRCC fall concert!!

Sons of Harold Reid and Don Reid of the Legendary Statler Brothers, cousins Wil & Langdon Reid formed Wilson Fairchild. Wil and Langdon are highly acclaimed songwriters. Both have been writing songs since their teenage years. Along with recording their own music, such artists as the Statler Brothers, Ricky Skaggs and Dailey & Vincent have recorded their songs, as well. Their songwriting gamut spans through the Country, Bluegrass and Gospel genres.

Concert Details:
• Date: September 27, 2025
• Time: 7:30pm (Gates open at 6:30pm)
• Location: New River Community College, Edwards Hall
