CHIP is a FREE home visiting program for families with children 0-6, and pregnant women that live in the New River Valley.

CHILDREN'S HEALTH IMPROVEMENT PARTNERSHIP provides access to primary health care to pregnant women and families with children birth to age six. Parent education and support for family goals is provided through home visiting case management services.

Celebrating Our Amazing Interns: A Heartfelt Thank You!

Today, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible contributions of interns.
Recently, we had the pleasure of having Angie Fernandez intern with us, and her impact has been truly remarkable.
Angie's passion for helping families, along with her enthusiasm, enriched our team and the work we do. She approached every task with a positive attitude, whether it was helping at our free baby shop or helping with marketing and office tasks.

Thank you, Angie. Interns like you remind us of the importance of mentorship and giving back to the community.

A special thanks to this group of marketing students from Virginia Tech for hosting a diaper drive and donating several packs of diapers and wipes. With their help and that of others, we can continue meeting the needs of our CHIP families and providing them with access to the supplies they require.

‼️We are currently looking for a CHIP Administrative Assistant. This role is crucial for managing and maintaining record-keeping systems providing accurate and timely information regarding children, families, staff, and services, and ensuring appropriate confidentiality of this information. Also, assist CHIP Coordinator with preparation of reports, review & updating contracts, preparation of agendas and presentations and monitoring deadlines.
Requirements are High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years' of office experience working with computers. Associate degree preferred.
NRCA conducts pre-employment criminal background checks, and a driving record check. Possession of a valid driver's license and a good driving record is required. Pre-employment drug testing is also required.
