It’s Julie’s favorite time of the year - back to school shoe shopping!!! 🫶👟

Julie Sutton’s Shoes cannot say a large enough “THANK YOU!” to the Meade County School’s Family Resource, Academy Sports, and all those who continue to help and donate to our cause of putting shoes on the students who need them most.

The thought of kids walking into their first day with confidence or running around on the playground in their new shoes brings us immense joy. With the 115 shoes going out this year, Julie’s Legacy has now reached over 500 students. That’s over 1000 feet making strides to a brighter future!

Everyone meet Emmalee Wilkins if you haven’t had the pleasure already! On February 11th Emmalee was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She has such a giving heart that prior to her diagnosis she made a basket for our fundraiser on February 12th. She wanted to help raise money so other kids could get shoes, and she was so excited to know how much money her basket raised. We decided to start the auction with her basket and donate the money raised from her basket back to her family as they battle to beat cancer. As always.. Meade County showed up! The words “sell it again” still gives us chills. We were able to raise $22,900 for Emmalee and her family from the basket she made, and we were still able to report to her that we raised over $20,000 more for Julie’s Sutton’s Shoes.

Julie would be immensely proud and honored to know she is still making a difference in students lives, and be so proud of Emmalee for helping.

Wow! We are speechless!!! With your continued support, the Julie Sutton’s Shoes endowment surpassed this year’s goal and is over $300,000 in just three years. Thank you to everyone who shared our video and to everyone who donated! The thought of how many shoes that will be handed out in the years to come gives us chills.

We are incredibly blessed for everyone’s love and support over the last two years.

Our word for this year is REACH. Our goal is to reach new people with Julie’s story, reach beyond our goals, and reach $300,000 for our 3rd year of Julie Sutton’s Shoes.
