If anyone’s looking for a fun little tournament for a good cause, the Italian American Women’s Association is having a fundraiser to benefit Camp One Step, by Chikdren’s Oncology Services. Aug 29th starting at 9am in the Elmwood Park Communitry Rec Center in the Circle. If your new to the game or want to find out what the game is all about and why so many people are enjoying it in Elmwood Park, come on out.. and support a good cause in doing so. We love the game of Bocce and we love playing at Alta House.. sorrounded by an amazing Old School community, lots of great friends and some pretty awesome fireworks. But this weekend, we’re playing for something bigger. Gem Bocce plays to bring awareness and to support research and a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. While Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a formidable challenge, the journey of those who live with it is defined by profound resilience, beauty, and love. We’re beyond honored to represent this cause. We’re also honored to wear the name of Cure SMA on our sleeves and hopefully draw your attention to this incredible organizatuon. Cure SMA is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Originally founded in 1984, they have since grown into a massive community that drives research toward a cure while providing immediate, tangible support to those living with the disease today.
