In Memory of Bishop Lawrence Kirby

Racine Local Businesses Inc. joins the Racine community in mourning the passing of Bishop Lawrence Kirby.

Bishop Kirby was a respected leader of faith and service whose impact reached far beyond the pulpit. He dedicated his life to uplifting others and strengthening the community he loved.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Kirby family, Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, and all who are grieving this loss.

We are grateful for his years of service to Racine and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire our community.

Congratulations Brandi Jackson, Advanced Learning Teacher at Arapaho Classical Magnet, for being named the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators 2026 Teacher of the Year! Her dedication represents the spirit of TABSE and its mission to ensure that every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.

Brandi will be honored during TABSE State Conference's Awards Dinner and Gala on Saturday, Feb. 21.

This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend college and may need financial assistance to support their educational journey. If you know a deserving student, please help spread the word before the deadline.
