I’ll be the first to tell you that I’m NOT one who studies The Bible. I don’t have the analytical capacity for it. But I am fascinated by the analysis of other, more experienced folks, when it comes to Biblical Prophecy, especially that which pertains to the End of Times; in other words, ‘how our world will end.’ This interest started about 20 years ago, when I was reading books that both referenced and offered some analysis of chapters in the Book of Ezekiel.
Chapters 38 and 39 of Ezekiel talk about the coming end of the world as carried out in the War of Gog and Magog. The Nations that will be at war are pretty much named. Although the particular time frame for Gog and Magog is not clearly defined, a lot of scholars and studiers of The Bible believe that time is near, and we are NOW living in the End of Times. Let that sink in for a minute.
But there is a train of thought that thinks that we are NOT in the End of Times because nowhere in The Bible is the United States mentioned as a participant in the War of Gog and Magog. And if the US is NOT mentioned in the Bible at the time of Gog and Magog, then we may not be near the End of Times. After all, we ARE the preeminent power in the world today. Would we not be involved in a war of annihilation against our strongest ally? And if not, why? What has happened to the U.S.? Has it been destroyed or just faded from the face of the earth?
A month or so ago I received an email from my friend Keith, who IS an expert on The Bible. Keith had just read one of my HOT Jacks and was so intrigued that he mailed me a copy of a book that he had written. His book, Ezekiel’s Vision of Four Living Creatures, makes the case that the United States IS mentioned in The Bible and DOES PARTICIPATE in the War of Gog and Magog. The book also makes the case that this “War” is fought on, or at is least partially fought on North American Soil. If you have questions on those details, you’ll just have to read the book.
Again, I am totally fascinated by End of Times prophecies of Ezekiel. Are we near the end of the world, or at least near taking the next big step toward the “end”? Is the “end” days, weeks, or millennia away?
And one last question. In preparation for Gog and Magog are all of YOUR things in order?
