July's change over includes the history of the ties of the military and veterans in the 4th parades

May and June...busy times. VE Day, May 8, 1945. Armed Forces Day, May 20, 1950. Memorial Day, May 25. June we remember Korea. Korean war vet Jim Becker (he referred himself as Radar). June 12, Women Veterans day, commemorating the Woman's Army core and showcasing Spc 4 Silvia Pangborn and others.It is also the 250th birthday of the US Army.

The March to April change over is finished. April we continue to recognize Vietnam as the official end of the war is designated as April 30, 1975. We are also showcasing the Airforce and K-9 dog handlers.

Wow! Time flies! It's almost April. February and March went so fast! Change over coming up on Sunday.... For two months we have displays for Black History, Woman's History, Vietnam end of hostilities.
And
National Vietnam Veteran's day: March 29... VVA 767 will be hosting, at the Vets Center, 820 Main, from 3-5 a Vietnam Veteran's toast in honor of National Vietnam Veteran's War Day.

Change over for December showcases Pearl Harbor, Battle of the Bulge and the annual match-up for the Army-Navy game. We had a special call for a Racine veteran who was in Pearl, William W. Weaver as well as all the names of all our special Racine Vets!

It's the Friday before Veteran's Day, Monday. Cabinet change over reflects Korea, The Chosen Few and a Marine related to one of our very important volunteers....of course, Sunday, is the Marine Corps 249th birthday!
