We are closing out our Together We SCAN campaign this Friday, and we're so grateful for everyone who has supported us so far.

We know life gets busy. Some friends were unable to attend our event, and others may have simply forgotten to donate with everything else going on. If that's you, there's still time!

Our goal is $10,000, and we're currently at $8,262. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us get closer to the finish line and supports the important work we do for children and families in our community.

Myth: If a child doesn't disclose abuse, they must be okay.

Truth: Many children never tell someone about abuse immediately. Fear, shame, threats, manipulation, and confusion can make it difficult for children to speak up.

Research from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services notes that children often delay disclosure for a variety of emotional and safety-related reasons. Silence does not mean a child is safe or unaffected.

When we create safe, supportive environments, we help children know they can reach out when they are ready.
