We are now only one week away from our bowling fundraiser. If you've promised to provide a raffle item, now is the time to get it to us, or wait until next year. We have surpassed 80 items in our raffle. Roughly half of them are dining or discount certificates to great eateries or fun places to visit. I want to thank everyone who has helped us arrive at this point. I think the fundraiser will be a great success. We still have several lanes available, so if you were thinking of bowling or providing a team...same as with the baskets...get that information in to me or risk being turned away on the day of the event. I can only fill the lanes assigned to us. Also, we still have many tickets available for our Lake Michigan Fishing Adventure. If you or a loved one, friend or coworker likes to fish for salmon and trout, consider this raffle. We have a small number of tickets so your chances of winning improve. This raffle winner will be drawn on September 19th, so you can still contact any Fire Bell member and secure your tickets today.

The Racine Fire Bells would like to thank Judy Jones for putting together TEN school supply baskets for incoming students this fall. The first basket contains everything an elementary student could need. The second one is better-suited to secondary education students. There are five individual school supply packages that include folders, theme books, twelve count color pencils and index cards. There are three that contain the same items with the exception of the index cards. Each of these will be available at the raffle taking place during our bowling fundraiser, August 29th at The Lanes on 20. Thank you Judy for all your hard work on these as well as the raffle overall. The Fire Bells and I truly appreciate you.
