The Office of Community Action is happy to offer the prescription assistance program. This program is available to Lafourche Parish residents who qualify under CSBG guidelines. Participating pharmacies: Lady of the Sea #1, Lady of the Sea #2, Lagniappe Pharmacy 8, LLC (formerly known as D&M Pharmacy).

Join us for our Pop-Up Produce Event today at 2:00 PM! Stop by and pick up FREE fresh fruits and vegetables while supplies last.

UPDATE 01/25/2026 at 9:02AM: Lafourche Parish Government will be opening a Warming Shelter at 5PM today at the Lockport Community Center located at 5610 LA-1, Lockport, LA 70374. The warming shelter will stay open for the duration of the extreme cold conditions. Please note that if residents bring a pet to the warming shelter, it needs to be in a kennel and have any food it needs; these items will not be provided by the Parish.

WARM SPACE: If a resident is in need of a Warm Space, please call 985-537-7603. The warm space will be available for the duration of the extreme cold conditions.

Lafourche Parish Pre-K and Head Start applications are being accepted now! You can drop off forms for Pre-K at the Media Center located in Lockport and drop off Head Start forms to a Lafourche Parish Government office in Matthews or Thibodaux!

Lafourche Parish Head Start is currently accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school term .
Applications can be picked up at any Lafourche Parish Head Start site or at the Lafourche Parish Government offices in Thibodaux or Mathews.

💛 Thank You, Central Lafourche High School! 💛

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to the Central Lafourche High School National Honor Society and Beta Club for their incredibly generous donations to our Beyond the Bell Resource Hub.

National Honor Society helped us fill our food pantry, ensuring families in Lafourche Parish have access to pantry items if needed. Beta Club donated warm winter coats, socks, hats, and mittens that will help keep Lafourche community members warm during these cold months.

Your kindness, leadership, and commitment to serving others truly make a difference. We are so grateful for your support and for the hearts you have for our Lafourche Parish community.

Our Resource Hub is fully stocked, please do not hesitate to come stop by or ask questions if you need anything. We are here to serve our community. 💛

✨ We’re Back! ✨

Beyond the Bell Resource Hub is officially back from the holidays and open starting today during our normal hours!

🕘 Current Hours:
Monday–Thursday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday–Sunday | Closed

📅 Important Hours Update:
Beginning January 20th 2026, we will move to temporary short hours through the first week of May 2026:
⏰ Monday–Thursday | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

🌸 After the first week of May 2026, the Resource Hub will permanently return to full hours:
🕘 Monday–Thursday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

🍎 Our Food Pantry is in full swing and ready to be used!
We also have plenty of clothing and shoes, work and interview attire, baby necessities, helpful resources, and a safe, welcoming place to talk if you need it.

Please do not hesitate to stop by. There are no right or wrong questions, we will do our very best to help you with whatever you may need. 💙

The cold weather is here, and we want to do everything we can to help our community and their families stay warm this season. Please do not let these items slip away from you, if you need them do not hesitate to come by and get them.

We currently have available:
