A little reminder when hiring someone to clean your home 🏡❤️

Please, please do your research before allowing someone into your home.

Cleaning isn’t just cleaning. Your home is your personal space. It’s where you feel comfortable, where your children grow up, where memories are made, and sometimes where generations of your family have lived. You’re trusting someone with a space that means a lot to you.

I’ve seen more and more people jump into cleaning and immediately start booking homes, and while everyone has to start somewhere, professional cleaning takes more than a vacuum, a spray bottle, and a Walmart bag of supplies. 😂

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called into a home after someone else cleaned because the homeowner wasn’t happy with the results.

I’ve heard things like:
“She showed up with a Walmart bag and a few cleaning products.”
“She only had a vacuum and a spray bottle.”
“I had to have someone else come back and fix things.”

And this isn’t meant to bash anyone. It’s simply a reminder to do your research. Ask questions. Look at reviews. Look at their work. Find out how long they’ve been cleaning, what’s included, what products they use, and what kind of experience they have.

And please remember: you get what you pay for.

It can be tempting to book the person offering a $30 clean or a $50 “deep clean” because it sounds like a great deal. But there’s a reason an experienced cleaner may charge more.

You’re paying for their time.
You’re paying for their experience.
You’re paying for their supplies and equipment.
You’re paying for their attention to detail.
And most importantly, you’re paying for the service and results.

Respectfully… a lot of us will drop $250+ getting our vehicles professionally detailed because we want them taken care of. 🚗✨

Your home deserves that same love. 🏡❤️

I’m not saying you have to hire the most expensive cleaner. I’m saying hire someone you trust, someone who takes pride in their work, and someone who understands that they’re not just cleaning a house—they’re caring for someone’s home.

Do your research. Ask questions. And don’t be afraid to invest in quality service. ❤️✨

A cleaner should know, or at least be actively learning, things like:

🧼 What products are safe for different surfaces
🧼 What should NEVER be mixed
🧼 How to properly clean bathrooms, kitchens, floors, etc.
🧼 How to handle buildup, soap scum, hard water, grease, and grime
🧼 What equipment actually makes sense for the job
🧼 How to protect a client’s belongings and surfaces
🧼 What a deep clean actually entails
🧼 How long quality work realistically takes

Because one wrong product on the wrong surface can damage somebody’s home, and suddenly that $50 “clean” has cost the homeowner hundreds or thousands in repairs ..

I've recently seen stories on the news and Facebook that you can't increase happiness through with buying stuff, but with if you spend money on services that improve your life, you CAN increase your happiness. This is SO true!

We've had Pat cleaning our house since June. I love coming home on cleaning days. The house smells nice, truly clean nice, not chemically cover-up nice.

Here's a confession - I'm a messy cook, and I don't like cleaning my stove top. Guess who does it now? Pat Bliss! Now I can be happy cooking, and even happier not cleaning up (well, a tiny bit of guilt for leaving my mess for someone else to clean up).

I don't mind doing laundry, but I hate changing sheets. Guess what? Pat does it for me! Happiness again!

My mom is coming to visit my new house for the first time next week. Pat cleaned it top to bottom and I'm SO happy!!

I work from home and it's really hard for me to focus on my tasks if my house is dirty. I feel like there is always something that could be cleaned/put away/washed and it distracts from my work. So I finally decided to hire a regular cleaning service and it has been SO wonderful! Pat is lovey and very thorough in her cleaning. I feel like I can finally work from home without constantly thinking about what parts of my house need to be cleaned. A clean home is such a gift and I can't thank her enough for the work! I would highly recommend Pat’s cleaning service!!

6. Clean areas blocked by clutter, cords, or personal belongings
7.Clean exterior windows or high interior windows
8.Clean biohazards (blood, mold, bodily fluids, or animal waste
9.Clean construction dust or post-renovation debris
10. Provide restoration, stain removal, or damage repair services
11. Clean areas requiring specialty equipment or unsafe access
12. Remove, disconnect, or reassemble electronics, mounted TVs, or cords
13.Clean items that are unsafe, broken, or unstable

(I DO)
1.Clean around fragile items with care and attention
2. Remove small area rugs when safe to do so for proper floor cleaning
3. Move Light furniture for example dining chairs around the table to clean underneath
4. Dust and wipe accessible surfaces, décor, and fixtures within reach
5.Use appropriate, surface-safe products for each area of the home
6.Follow a consistent, room-by-room cleaning system for thorough results
7.Notify the client of any damage, concerns, or maintenance issues noticed during the clean
