Happy Sunday everyone! We are so close to our Kickoff Rodeo and I am so excited! I have sent out packets to everyone who has sent me an email for rodeo queen. If you didn't get one and are interested please let me know ASAP. Below is the list of contestants I have entries for. Please review and make sure that I have your child entered (bottom of post). I will post the draw in a few days.

Just a few Q/A I have been getting and want to make sure I cover it incase anyone is curious.
1. Do you have to join as a member by the first rodeo? No, however you will not get event points if you are not a member.

2. Can I join later? Yes; as long as you can attend 10 rodeos you will still qualify for finals. Once, it is no longer possible to make 10 rodeos memberships will be closed.

3. Can I pay membership at the rodeo. Yes; if you are unable to do so online. We will still fill out the online form (I will just help you with it.)

4. What is the event order for the weekend? Please see our website, it is posted on there. GFYRodeo.com

This will be our first team penning event hosted by J2 Arena. I think this is an excellent opportunity for our kids and local equestrians. I didn't put it on the flyer and will update later, but all penning are teams of 3. You do not have to come with a partner; we can pair you up. Please let me know if you have any questions. Enter as many times as you want.

Ya'll, we have gotten so many requests from families who want to be a part of our association but don't have horses. We are trying to open up an avenue for them to get involved. I am not sure if this will work but we want to try to encourage the next generation. If you know anyone who would be interested have them contact me.

🐴 GFYR TRAILER HOOKUPS & STALL RESERVATIONS 🐴

As we get ready for the rodeo season, here is the current list for trailer hookups and stalls.

🚐 TRAILER HOOKUPS — $60 PER RODEO WEEKEND

Trailer hookups are considered reserved for the rodeo season.

If you reserve a hookup, you will be responsible for the $60 hookup fee even if you miss a rodeo weekend, unless you let us know in advance so we have time to rent the space to someone else.

⚠️ Hookup space is limited, and we recommend renting a stall for your horse.

🐎 STALLS — $30 PER RODEO WEEKEND

Stalls are not numbered, but your stall reservation is considered reserved for the entire rodeo season.

If you will not need your stall for a rodeo weekend, please let us know in advance so we can make it available to someone else.

Buddy has decided to offer a few of our older horses up for children who need one to be used for lead line, walk trot, and possible run (don't expect a speed demon) These horses possible will be used by more than one contestant as the rulebook allows. There will be small fee associated with this and we would like for them to come ride a few times and possible take a few lessons (if needed). We are still sorting through the details and just seeing if there is an interest.

All if you are interested let me know ASAP. As of right now I have NO Peewees, several Juniors, and NO Senior or HS girls.

If you are interested, please send me an email to [email protected] to get entered. There will be a $50 sponsorship fee - this is to help pay for crowns and sashes. I most likely will not have them by the first rodeo. We will host the competition on Saturday night of the rodeo and crown Sunday morning. More information will be in the email I send you along with the reining pattern.

✨ Represent the association with a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, and western values.

Good afternoon everyone. Just a quick update as we get closer to our first rodeo. I need everyone to make sure that the membership is paid for on-line by the first rodeo. EVENT Entry: I have a few membership forms with no event entries for you contestants. If you plan on coming to the first rodeo, please make sure you do step 2 on the attached flyer. Entry deadline is Aug 28th. Below is the list contestants that I have event entries for. I am expecting this list to grow just based on the families I have spoken to. Can't wait to see everyone soon. BTW: The first rodeo we will be going Gold for Childhood Cancer.
