๐Ÿค  GFYR RODEO UPDATES! ๐ŸŽ

We have officially completed our second rodeo weekend of the season! Make sure to tag me in your photos. I love to see and share them!

I was very pleased with our turnout, especially considering the weather! We managed to complete most of our events, but unfortunately, we were unable to finish Pole Bending and Goat Tying.

Thank you to everyone for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we worked around the rain!

โญ IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN GFYR! โญ

We are only two rodeos into our season, and there is still plenty of time to join us! Please invite your friends and help spread the word. We would love to welcome more young cowboys and cowgirls to the GFYR family!

๐Ÿ† RODEO RESULTS & POINTS

Results from our second rodeo have been posted!

Please review your child's results for accuracy. If your child is a GFYR member and placed in the Top 10, please make sure their points were awarded correctly.

โš ๏ธ If you notice any errors, please let me know so we can get them corrected.

๐Ÿ” A WORD ABOUT OUR CONCESSION STAND

We work hard to keep our concession prices affordable because we know rodeo weekends can be expensive for families. Food trucks have not been a practical option due to their higher prices and the limited business our events generate.

Our concession stand is intended to be volunteer-operated, but finding enough help has been difficult. We are now considering hiring workers, which would add to our expenses and could affect our ability to keep prices low.

Even volunteering for an hour or two makes a difference! We appreciate everyone who helps us keep affordable food available at the arena.

๐Ÿ“… UPCOMING RODEO & ENTRIES

Your child remains pre-entered in their previously selected events unless you request changes.

Please review your child's entries (this is not the draw, but what they are entered in):

โค๏ธ THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING GFYR!

We appreciate our contestants, parents, volunteers, and everyone who helps make these rodeos possible. GFYR is a volunteer-based organization, and it takes everyone working together to make it successful.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our next rodeo weekend at J2 Arena!

๐Ÿด WE ARE STILL A GO FOR RODEO WEEKEND! ๐Ÿด

First, Iโ€™m no fortune teller when it comes to the weather! ๐Ÿ˜„ However, based on what weโ€™re seeing right now, I believe we will be okay this weekend.

There is a chance of rain, but the hourly percentages are relatively low. If we do get a shower and need to take a break, we canโ€”and then weโ€™ll get right back to rodeoing as soon as conditions allow.

โฐ We will start at 10:00 AM with the roping events, so please be ready to go!

If you know that you will not be coming, please let me know so I can take you out of the draw.

Weโ€™re looking forward to a great weekend and canโ€™t wait to see everyone soon! ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿด

๐Ÿค  GFYR CONTESTANTS & PARENTS โ€” PLEASE REVIEW BEFORE THE DRAW! ๐Ÿค

The updated contestant list for this weekend is now available! Please take a few minutes to review it for accuracy before I complete the draw.

โš ๏ธ IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

A few contestants will only be competing on Sunday, so they will NOT appear on this draw.

If you requested changes to your entries, please double-check that those changes were made correctly.

Behind each child's name, you will see YES or NO indicating membership status.

YES = Your child is listed as a GFYR member.

NO = I do not have your child listed as a member in the computer, and they are NOT earning points.

If I have anyone's membership status incorrect, please let me know ASAP so I can get it corrected!

๐Ÿ™‹ VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED!

We still need parents and contestants to sign up to help this weekend. If you haven't already volunteered, please take a moment to do so. We appreciate everyone pitching in to help make our rodeos successful!

๐ŸŽ FUNDRAISER TEAM ROPING

We are also hosting a fundraiser team roping this weekend! I will post the flyer separately with all the details. If you are available to lend a hand, we could definitely use the extra help!

๐Ÿ“ฑ A QUICK NOTE FROM SERENA:

I will be working night shifts Wednesday and Thursday. If you need to reach me, please send me a text, and I will get back with you as soon as I can.

Thank you all for supporting GFYR and helping us make another great rodeo weekend happen! โค๏ธ๐Ÿค
