**ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE**
The Toe-Ink culvert repairs are almost complete. The road is scheduled to open on Tuesday 11/23/2021. Please remember this is an estimated time frame and any additional updates will be shared here.

The lake valve has been closed as of today. The lake will begin to slowly fill again.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience during these repairs.

**ROAD CLOSURE REMINDER**

The Toe-Ink culvert repairs are set to begin on Monday 11/15/2021 and will take approximately 3-5 days. The lake will be lowered during this time frame to ensure repairs can adequately be completed. The lowering of the lake will start on Monday 11/08/2021.

The road (Lakeshore near Cherry) will be closed starting 11/15/2021. Please remember that this date and timeframe could potentially change based on weather or other scenarios beyond anyone’s control. During this time, there will be no thru traffic towards the back of the lake. All must use the 1st entrance by the dam. The dam has a weight limit and no trash trucks, dump trucks, or any other heavy machinery or deliveries will be allowed to cross the dam; no exceptions. An auxiliary fire engine will be placed on the opposite side of the dam prior to closure. We encourage those with trash pick up to transport their own trash to the 612 transfer station during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience. These long awaited repairs are emergent and must be completed as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: Per the New Kent Fire Battalion Chief, an auxiliary fire engine will be placed on the opposite end of the dam prior to the road closure. This auxiliary fire engine will remain until the road closure ends.
