A huge thanks to everyone who joined us for our Valentine’s Dinner/Dance event Saturday night, Feb. 8th! What a fantastic time it was! The Eldercare Committee and Board are deeply grateful for all the wonderful people who helped make the evening so special.
A special shoutout goes to the amazing ladies from Golden Plains Credit Union—Jeanne Miller, Patty Knop, and Norma Weber—for volunteering to serve. We also appreciate the young women from QHS K.A.Y.S. who lent a hand: Casey Hinman, Ella Prosser, Blaire Bougher, Gwen Churchwell, and Jorgen Stewart.
We are incredibly grateful to Toby Countryman from QHS, and also to Caroline Emig for providing us with her mouthwatering rolls. Thanks to Rozan Schmalzreid and Marlin & Rache' Wente for the stunning décor that truly set the atmosphere. A big thank you to Allison Polifka for designing the large banner and creating the beautiful flyers and tickets.
We also want to thank Doug Manhart for lending his DJ equipment and Dr. Doug for both making delicious mocktails and spinning the tunes for the dance. Stan Copeland deserves a special mention for blessing the meal, and we’re grateful to Stan & Marilyn Copeland, Jim Kitch, Dwight Tummons, and Randy Wittman for staying late to help with cleanup.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to Mike Knaus at the beautiful 920 Lincoln Building for his invaluable support.
What a wonderful, giving, and supportive community we are fortunate to be part of. God’s blessings to all!

Dine Out for Eldercare on Saturday, July 6!
We’re inviting everyone to a fun-filled evening on Saturday, July 6th, to support a great cause! Three local restaurants are generously donating 20% of their profits to the Gove County Eldercare Home to help cover renovation costs. The participating restaurants are Center Pivot (Main St., Quinter), Quinter Dairy Queen (1307 Castle Rock St.), and Buffalo Park Station (420 Main St., Park).
Though we reached out to other local eateries, they will be closed that Saturday night.
Here's a sneak peek at what you can enjoy:
Center Pivot: Savor delicious smoked pulled pork on pizza, a smoked pork sandwich, or a wrap!
Quinter Dairy Queen: Enjoy a variety of hamburgers, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, and of course, their famous soft-serve ice cream.
Buffalo Park Station: Dance the night away from 9 PM to 1 AM to the tunes of the Esper Winds Band for a $5 cover charge.
And that's not all! After dark in Quinter, there will be a spectacular fireworks display along with free watermelon on Main Street. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show!
Join us for a night of good food, fun, and community spirit, all for a wonderful cause.
