HUGE Thank You to the F.L. Young Foundation for their continued support, especially to our Foundation's student enrichment grant programming. We could not do as much as we do without support like this in our community, county, and abroad.

🏛️ Celebrating Decades of Giving Back in Hunt County - Today in Quinlan! 🏛️

A huge thank you to the F. L. Young Foundation for their incredible generosity and continuous support of our schools through our partner organization, the Quinlan ISD Education Foundation! We are thrilled to accept a wonderful $3,000 check to help further our mission of providing student enrichment grant opportunities. This grant in particular was written to help grow the giving this year of the student enrichment grant program. Because of support like the F.L. Young Foundation, the QISD Education Foundation increased student giving from $10,000 - $15,000 this year.

Representing the F.L. Young Foundation is Hunt County native, retired educator, and current Crisis Center of Northeast Texas Director of Engagement, Amy Melton.

For decades—with a rich history of annual giving dating all the way back to the 1940s—the F. L. Young Foundation has been a steadfast pillar of our community. Their mission is deeply rooted in uplifting Hunt County, making a lasting impact in towns like Greenville, Quinlan, Commerce, and our surrounding areas.

Through their enduring dedication, they continue to champion vital causes across our community:

Basic Needs & Social Services: Providing critical food assistance, health services, and resources for our most vulnerable neighbors.

Child Welfare & Youth Development: Supporting local youth programs and protective services.

Community & Culture: Funding the fine arts, local theaters, museums, and educational initiatives that keep our culture thriving.

Thank you, F. L. Young Foundation, for investing in our students, our schools, and the heartbeat of Hunt County! 💙✨

Your support is helping to fund 17 students to attend college theater camps, the International Thespian Festival for invited thespians, a sports camp, band camps, and more. QISD Fine Arts programming is stellar, and many of these children would not be able to grow in their passion without the student enrichment grant program.

💙 Fishing for a Cause, Fighting for a Family: Supporting Carson Lane 🎣

There are moments in our tournament that go far beyond the leaderboard, and this year, the heart of our community truly shined.

The Quinlan ISD Education Foundation was deeply honored to present a check for $776 to 2025 Quinlan Ford High School Alum, Carson Lane! This donation represents 10% of all team entry fees from this weekend’s tournament. Carson was a dedicated, avid member of the Quinlan Ford fishing team, and seeing him out on the water competing with us this weekend brought so much joy to everyone at the lake.

The blessings didn't stop there! In a beautiful show of generosity, Victory Fishing Events stepped up to present Carson with a full year's membership, allowing him to fish any of their tournaments throughout the entire year with a partner.

As many in our community know, Carson is currently going through treatments. The Quinlan Ford fishing team is continuously hosting fundraisers to wrap their arms around Carson and his family during this challenging time. It is a powerful reminder that once you are a part of this team, community, and school family, you are family for life.

Carson, your resilience inspires us all, and your entire QISD family is casting prayers, love, and support your way. Keep fighting, keep fishing, and know we are with you every single mile of the way! 💪🐟💙

Talk about a fairytale ending on the water! A massive congratulations to our First Place Winners, Randy and Trey Turner, who absolutely dominated the field at this past Saturday's 10th Annual Quinlan ISD Education Foundation Fish for Education Team Bass Tournament!

Huge congratulations to Randy and Trey Turner for being our 10th annual QISD Education Foundation fishing tournament champions! Not only are they our 10th anniversary winners, but they were also our very first champions a decade ago.

They took home the title, along with four thousand dollars, plus an extra five hundred dollars for their big bass weighing in at eighteen point eight nine pounds for their five-fish total.

A massive thank you to everyone involved! Because of our wonderful fishermen, we were able to raise seven hundred and seventy-six dollars to support Quinlan Ford alumni Carson Lane for his treatments.

On Tuesday, when we get back, we will provide all details for all of the tournament. Thank you so much for a wonderful day.

The QISD Education Foundation Fish for Education Memorial Weekend Classic just broke a record! 🎣

We have 40 boats competing in today’s tournament, vying for a portion of $8,400 in cash prizes! This year is extra special, as 10% of the fishing entry fees are being awarded to Carson Lane, a Quinlan Ford 2025 alumnus and avid fisherman who is bravely battling cancer. 💙

Victory Fishing’s Carl Braucht is the tournament director. This company has served the Foundation’s fishing tournament needs since 2016. We miss Larry Ladnier, and we welcome Carl! We cannot express our gratitude enough for this community's incredible support. The fishing community family is a blessing to work with each year. Joyce Tanner with Victory Fishing is a treasure to work with as well.

Here is the schedule for this afternoon:
3:00 PM: Weigh-ins begin ⚖️
4:00 PM: Last weigh-ins must be in line. Winners to be announced & check presentation to Carson once all numbers are tallied! 🏆

Come out to the Two-Mile Bridge Boat Ramp, check out the great catches, and help us celebrate Carson. The Dirty Q drink truck will also be onsite serving up some awesome drinks!

Good luck to our 80 fishermen who ventured out in the early morning storms. An early morning rough weather start is turning out to be an absolutely beautiful day on Lake Tawakoni. Let’s Go! 🎉

Foundation board members Rusty Case, Chad Case, Kourtney Davis, husband Mr. Davis, QISD’s Tiffony Chapman, and Braught’s assistant, Joyce Tanner, all braved the weather and the early morning registration process. 💙💙💙 Thank You!
