To wrap up National 4-H Week, our club setup a table at Farm & Home Supply. Thanks to the following families that volunteered: Meyer’s (the 🐎 & 🐥 pumpkins and game were adorable), Mathews (pig & piglet 🐷 pumpkins & club handouts were greatly appreciated), and Prengers (thanks for squeezing 1 more activity into your busy day & volunteering the last shift). 🍀

To kickoff National 4-H Week, join fellow 4-Her, Helen Mathews, this Sunday, October 5th at (noon) 12 pm at Farm & Home Supply to paint a 4-H window.
🍀 Paints & brushes will be provided. Bring ideas to “Go Green” for 4-H and the National 4-H Theme is “Beyond Ready”.
🍀 Our club has a 5x5 window to paint.

THEN, next Saturday, October 11, we NEED volunteers to setup a Club Table at Farm & Home.
🍀Set-up: Begins at 9:30 a.m.; Event: 10 AM - 1 PM
🍀 WHO can bring animals, 4-H projects, activity to do at our Club’s table? Get creative.
🍀Visitors will receive entry cards to visit each Club’s display, with the chance to win a bucket of 4-H swag and a $100 Farm & Home gift card!
🍀 Please wear your 4-H Farm & Home shirts that was handed out at the Fair.

🍀Program: Bring fair project(s) to talk about your experience.
🍀 Election of Officers
🍀Family Dinner: bring the entire family & a dish to share.
Hot dogs, table service, and drinks will be provided.

Congrats to our 4-Hers competing at the Illinois State Fair today 🍀
Very proud of each of you. Hopefully, you took in some of the fair favorites (butter cow, Conservation World, horse racing, checked out the livestock barns, IL Dept of Ag Tent-apple cider slushies, watermelon, free tram ride around the fairgrounds, …the list is endless…).

Hopefully, you were inspired by other 4-Hers’ fair projects. The one that really inspired me was the presentation and samples of freeze dried fruit by a young 4-Her. 🍀. Why not start working on your 4-H project(s) for next year!
