โญ๏ธ๐ How many stars are in the sky? That is how many times we want to shout "thank you" to the Rotary Club of Quincy! Pin Oak Foundation expresses our endless gratitude and appreciation to Rotary members for their investment in this incredible community resource for local youth at Gardner Camp.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pin Oak Foundation Receives Largest Grant to Date from Rotary Foundation of Quincy for Gardner Camp StarLab
A recent $35,000 donation will show Quincy area students that the sky is the limit when it comes to learning. The Rotary Foundation of Quincy presented the donation to the Pin Oak Foundation to help purchase a digital StarLab Planetarium, a unique learning experience in astronomy for area youth. Gardner Camp, in turn, is the direct beneficiary of this donation.
This donation advances the Rotaryโs desire to support opportunities for improving our communities today by investing in the generation of tomorrow. By underwriting the StarLab, Rotarians are also supporting STEM education. (STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and math.) STEM helps students acquire useful skills for making informed, inquiry-based decisions and students to build foundations for success in their futures, regardless of their chosen career.
โWe are tremendously grateful to the Rotary Foundation of Quincy. This donation allows us to bring a museum-quality planetarium to youth in our community and expand science learning for our schools,โ states Amy Lefringhouse, Gardner Campโs Executive Director.
