On June 8, 1801, Rural Lodge was granted its Charter from the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts, and on June 8, 2026, the Lodge celebrated its 225th Anniversary!

This occasion was celebrated with a Gala held at Granite Links in Quincy. Members of Rural Lodge and their families, as well as our community partners from Interfaith Social Services, the Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association, and Venturing Crew 42, were in attendance!

The history of the Lodge was given by the Wor. William Blake. Remarks were made by R.W. Patrick H.J. DelVal, District Deputy Grand Master for the 8th Masonic District, as well as R.W. John A. MacLeod, Past Deputy Grand Master for our Grand Lodge.

We thank everyone who attended, and look forward to 225 more years of Freemasonry in Quincy!

Mayor Tom Koch and the Quincy Flag Day Parade Committee are proud to announce Quincy’s History Keepers as the Grand Marshals of the 75th Annual Quincy Flag Day Parade.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, Quincy is honoring the people and organizations dedicated to preserving our City’s unique place in history — from Adams National Historical Park and the Quincy Historical Society to the Granite Railway & Quarry Workers Museum, Adams Presidential Center, and the City’s Historic Heritage Department.

Join us Saturday, June 13 at 7 PM as we celebrate the longest-running Flag Day Parade in the nation and recognize those who keep the City of Quincy story alive for future generations.
