Sigma Gamma Rho - Lambda Kappa Sigma Chapter (South Shore Massachusetts)

The Lambda Kappa Sigma Alumnae Chapter has been serving communities in Southeastern Massachusetts since 2011. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

was founded on November 12, 1922 on the campus of Butler University by 7 educators and visionaries that believed in the power of knowledge. Our Founders were steadfast in their belief that teaching our young people - academically, morally and socially - was the key to affecting evolutionary change in disenfranchised communities. The Lambda Kappa Sigma Alumnae Chapter was chartered on January 29, 2

011 and since that chartering day, the women of LKS have remained committed to service, collaboration, and partnership. Lambda Kappa Sigma serves communities south of Boston, including Randolph, Brockton, Stoughton, Bridgewater, Dartmouth, New Bedford, and more, by delivering both original and sorority-developed programs and resources in partnership with community institutions. On Saturday, May 9th, our Project CRADLE Care Community Baby Shower brought together an incredible afternoon of love, support, and community! 💙💛

This event was truly a beautiful success, and we are so grateful to every single person who helped make this day possible. Thank you to our amazing partners, vendors, volunteers, and supporters who poured into this event and helped us create a welcoming and uplifting experience for local moms-to-be throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.

A very special thank you to our partners - We Heart Lives, Family and Community Resources, Inc. and GBS NCNW Greater Boston Section - National Council of Negro Women, Inc. for your collaboration, dedication, and continued commitment to supporting families in our communities. Your partnership helped make a meaningful impact.

Most importantly, thank you to all of the incredible mothers who attended. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate you, support you, and be a small part of your journey into motherhood. Seeing the joy, strength, and love in the room reminded us exactly why this work matters. ✨

From the baby boutique and giveaways to the conversations, laughter, and connections made throughout the day; this event was filled with heart, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you. 💐👶🏽
