QAR’s 2025 REALTOR® of the Year DIANA BOCKENFELD attended the 2026 Illinois REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year Banquet on April 13th in Springfield. Congrats to Diana and all the local association’s REALTORS® of the Year honored on this special evening.

Glenn Swick spending the day on April 14th with nearly 800 other REALTORS® at the IL State Capitol for Realtor® Day talking with our legislators about the Build Illinois Plan. This proposed legislation would establish zoning reform that would take care of our Missing Middle Housing, control costly Impact Fees, allow ADUs for young or aging family members and to provide affordable housing to others, expedite plan reviews & inspections, modify parking minimums for all housing and enable smaller multifamily properties with one stairwell to comply with fire safety regulations.
Together, this collection of housing measures can be the starting point for Illinois to address the current housing crisis and as always, Illinois REALTORS® are in the forefront working to provide more and affordable housing while protecting private property rights.

We honored Fair Housing Month today with our Fair Housing Complaint Workshop, where our members learned about the complaint process, including what happens during the investigation, conciliation, and resolution. Members participated in breakouts featuring a live mock conciliation with real-world scenarios, building their confidence in navigating housing complaints.

Thanks to all of our members who attended! And thanks to Jay Walton with the Quincy Association of REALTORS® and Heather Wiedrich with the Hometown Association of Realtors, for being great partners in bringing this opportunity together. And much thanks to attorney Yana Rusovski, our esteemed and knowledgeable leader on this topic.
