Today is Pediatric Oncology Nurses Day, and we’re honored to celebrate one of our recent Star recipients, Emma! 💛✨

Emma is a 25-year-old pediatric oncology nurse who was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer in May 2025. But her connection to TSWGO began years earlier.

“I read Esther’s memoir when I was in high school, and her story was one of the many factors that influenced me to become a pediatric oncology nurse.”

Now, as Emma faces cancer herself, a TSWGO grant has helped ease some of the financial stress of treatment.

Emma’s motto throughout her journey? ✨ “This won’t dim my sparkle.” ✨

Today we’re celebrating Emma, her sparkle, and all the incredible pediatric oncology nurses caring for young people facing cancer. 💛

We laughed, cried, shared stories about Esther, and spent an evening celebrating love together. We’re so grateful for every single person who helped make it so special. 💜
