Great River Autism Connection Focusing on awareness, connection, and acceptance while supporting families and caregivers. Our focus is on awareness, connection, and acceptance.

History
Started by an area mom of a child with Autism, the Great River Autism Connection (GRAC) moved to Quincy Medical Group(QMG) at the establishment of pediatric therapy in 2010. Since then, the group has provided families and caregivers of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders a chance to learn, share and gain support from the group. Work
With monies raised, the GRAC offers free events for families to connect, provides resources, and promotes educational opportunities. Each year the GRAC hosts a walk to create awareness, acceptance, and connection within the community. Mission Statement
The Great River Autism Connection provides families and caregivers of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders a chance to learn, share, and gain resources. Monies raised provide free resources and educational opportunities to individuals of all ages, families, teachers, and caregivers to improve overall functioning and success in the home, school, and community environments.

A special celebration for autistic children and their families, hosted by Great River Autism Connection and QMG Pediatric Therapy.

Explore sensory stations, create art, and take a photo with Carl! A parent rest and resource room will also be available.

Every child is different and has unique needs. The Great River Autism Connection's BOOST Grant program is designed to provide access to equipment, materials, and tools that enhance and enrich the daily lives of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Recently, a family used a BOOST grant award to purchase a nugget ice maker for their child to help regulate oral sensory behaviors. Access to the soft, chewy ice is just what the child needs to regulate, soothe, and comfort when stressed or overwhelmed.

GRAC is thrilled to have a program that helps individuals access the tools they need to elevate their daily lives.
