What an incredible week our Miss Quincy had at Miss Illinois! 💖

Shelby placed in the Top 11, was named the recipient of the Evening Gown Preliminary Award, and received the Rene Shelton Memorial Scholarship, an honor awarded in memory of Rene Shelton, a beloved local director whose dedication to mentoring and encouraging young women left a lasting impact on the Miss Illinois Organization.

Shelby has an extraordinary ability to bring light wherever she goes, uplift those around her, and embody the sisterhood and service at the heart of the Miss America Opportunity.

A special thank you to Allan Brown, Shelby Kammerer, Calla Merriman, our mock interview panelists, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who invested their time and talents into Shelby’s journey. Your support made all the difference.

We’re bursting with pride for our outstanding Miss Quincy’s Teen and her success at Miss Illinois’ Teen!

Olivia not only placed 4th runner-up, but also earned awards for achieving the highest scores in both interview and on-stage question.

It truly takes a village to prepare our titleholders for the state competition, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible board members, volunteers, alumnae, and mock interview panelists who pour into them every step of the way. We would like to give special recognition to Allan Brown for sharing his expertise and for being a constant source of support. In addition, a huge thank you goes to Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials for organizing such a beneficial final mock interview for Olivia.

Congratulations, Olivia! These honors reflect the countless hours of preparation, hard work, and heart you poured into this experience. We adore you and couldn’t be prouder of the intelligent, kind, and remarkable young woman you are. 💖👑

✨There she is… our Miss Illinois Evening Wear Preliminary Winner! ✨

Shelby dazzled last night in this gorgeous gown from Prom by SE by Cheri! ❤️ But even more beautiful is the woman wearing it. We are incredibly proud of Shelby for this achievement. She won a $250 scholarship, generously provided by Bill and Belinda Hatfield.

We can’t wait to watch our girl shine on stage again tonight in fitness and talent! 👑
