We didn't get many photos of United Way's Day of Caring because our crew was so busy working! We had some fantastic volunteers from Legacy Martial Arts and Coca-Cola help us get ready for our rummage sale coming up next Saturday. We really are surrounded by some great neighbors in this town!

Happy (almost) 6-7 day! Today, 6/6 and tomorrow, 6/7, we're asking our village to welcome IHOP into Applebee's for a friends and family soft opening. You can make your reservation by scanning the QR code in the second image. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Connect so we can buy more time for families in foster care.

*As a reminder, every $67 raised this summer will buy an hour of time for families in foster care. We're asking 3,000 families to sponsor an hour of time and help us renovate our building at 435 Hampshire, so these families have a space specifically designed with them in mind.

Do you ever wish you could buy more time? That's achingly true for many families in the foster care system. In 2025 Connect spent over 3,000 hours with families clinging to time.

This summer we need to raise $200,000 to renovate a multi-purpose space at Connect. All funds raised will be applied to this project, which will host countless hours for families that are hanging on to every minute together.

If 3,000 people sponsor one hour of connection for $67, we'll meet our goal of putting more time on the clock in 2026.

We're kicking this off with the WCIL Gives event that begins June 8. We'll also be posting different ways you can "buy time" and sponsor an hour of connection so stay tuned for more ideas and a link to donate next week!
