🎻 Music at the Mansion! 🎶

What would an elegant afternoon tea be without beautiful music?

We were delighted to welcome Stephen Javaux on cello and Stephanie Javaux on violin, both instructors at Javaux Music School, for Sunday's Tea at the Mansion on Maine.

Their lovely music drifted through the parlors of the Lorenzo Bull House, adding another touch of elegance to an afternoon of tea, conversation, and gracious hospitality.

Our sincere thanks to Stephen and Stephanie for sharing their artistry with our guests and for the work they do to nurture musical talent in our community!

We are pleased to invite you to welcome the holiday season in Quincy’s historic neighborhood at the third annual Miracle on Maine Street on Dec. 5, 2026.
From 4 - 7 pm, follow luminary-lit paths between some of Quincy’s beloved historic buildings, each dressed for the season and offering its own holiday experience.

Along the way:

The Quincy Museum: Enjoy live holiday music from area professionals and beloved local music groups, plus a holiday wreath raffle.
Quincy Art Center: Stop in and make a keepsake ornament to take home while enjoying the local artwork of the Mary S. Oakley & Lee Lindsay Area Artist Showcase.
Lorenzo Bull House: Warm up with Christmas cookies and hot cocoa, and visit with Kris Kringle himself. Pose for a photo opportunity with festive holiday characters.
Governor John Wood Mansion: Experience the magic of Christmas past at the Governor’s Mansion, fully decked in its Christmas finery. Join Governor John Wood and his wife for a festive visit filled with captivating stories of holidays gone by.
Carriage Rides - Separate Ticket Required, Tickets available from Nov. 1 - Dec. 5
Sightseeing carriage rides begin at 3:30 pm. Governor’s Mansion Tour carriage rides to the Governor John Wood Mansion run from 5 - 7 pm.

With glowing luminaries, historic homes, music, art, carriage rides, and familiar traditions, Miracle on Maine Street brings a little holiday magic to one of Quincy’s most historic neighborhoods.

Miracle on Maine Street is presented in collaboration with Quincy Art Center, The Quincy Museum, Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House, and The Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County.
