🧡 WELCOME TO THE KIDSROCK CLOSET 🧡

We're so glad you're here! We're open every Wednesday this fall, 9-11am.

Our goal is to serve as many under-resourced children in our community as possible. Our all-volunteer staff is passionate about helping families in need.

THINGS TO KNOW:

Every family is limited to 12 clothing items per visit. This limit applies to everyone and allows us to make sure that families who come after you have an opportunity to find clothing too.

Diapers are only available on the first Sunday of every month, 12:30-1:30pm. Please take one pack of diapers per child who lives with you in your household. We wish we could offer more, but our diaper donations are very limited and we want to help as many families as possible. Upcoming Sunday diaper dates: November 1, December 6

Everything in our Closet has been donated (clothes, diapers, and food). We cannot guarantee specific sizes, styles or items.

If you use our Emergency Food Shelf, please take only what you need so that there are still some food items left for others.

We promise to treat you and your family with kindness, dignity, compassion, and respect. Thank you for helping us keep the KidsRock Closet a welcoming place for everyone. We are grateful for the opportunity to help your family.

Cleaning out the kids’ closets for fall?

If your kids outgrew it, someone else can use it! 🧡

As you switch out summer/outgrown clothes and make room for the next season, consider donating gently used clothing your kids have outgrown to The KidsRock Closet. We help local families in need access clothing for FREE. What no longer fits your kids could be exactly what another kid can use.

👕 We’re currently accepting:
• Baby clothing
• Children’s clothing
• Youth-sized clothing

Please make sure all donated items are clean and in good used condition -- please, no stains, rips, or significant wear.

Today's the day! Families in need are welcome to drop in to our Back to School event for new packages of socks and underwear for school aged children (free, while supplies last). Enjoy some back to school fun while you're here! Diapers and emergency food supplies are also available today.

❤ The KidsRock Closet is back!! ❤

After a month to rest and recharge, our volunteers are ready to welcome parents/guardians in our community who need a helping hand!

We’ll be open Wednesday, September 2 from 9-11am with:
* Free baby & kids’ clothing
* Free emergency food supplies
* Note: No diapers will be available on this day

Then on Sunday, September 6, we’re kicking off the school year with our Back to School Event!

Families in need are welcome to drop in from 12:30-2pm to pick up:
* Free packages of new socks & underwear for school-aged children
* Free diapers
* Free baby and kids' clothing and food supplies
* Plus enjoy some other fun back to school treats!

We’re so excited to see you again and help families in our community start the new school year strong! 💙

🌞 The KidsRock Closet is taking a summer break! 🌞

The KidsRock Closet will be CLOSED for the entire month of August so our amazing volunteers can take some time to rest, recharge, and prepare for a new season of ministry. ❤️

We’ll reopen during our regular scheduled hours beginning Sunday, September 6 — and we're kicking things off with our Back to School Event! Families in need are invited to join us as we help get kids ready for the new school year with clothing and other essentials. 🎒📚

We’re grateful for all of the families, donors, volunteers, and supporters who make KidsRock Closet possible. We’ll see you in September! 💙

📣 KidsRock Closet Schedule Update

We're OPEN today (Wednesday, July 1) and ready to serve!

If your family could use free baby and children's clothing or items from our emergency food shelf, we'd love to welcome you today. Our food shelf is fully stocked and available to families in need.

Every child deserves the chance to thrive. But for many families, even basic necessities like clothing, food, and toiletries can feel out of reach.

That’s why community matters.

A simple clothing or food drive can make a real difference for local kids and teens facing difficult seasons. Schools, sports teams, clubs, workplaces -- wherever people gather and there's a desire to make an impact, there is an opportunity to come together and care for neighbors in need.

The KidsRock Closet at Granite City Church is always looking for community partners willing to host drives to help support local families.

This past weekend, we had the joy of hosting a special Mother’s Day event at The KidsRock Closet, serving moms and families in our community with free diapers, children’s clothing, and food supplies.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to come alongside families in a tangible way. What stood out most wasn’t just the free items that were given. It was the care.

Again and again, we saw moms serving other moms. Volunteers showing kindness and compassion to parents who are walking through difficult seasons. In a space like this, “mothering” goes far beyond biology—it looks like showing up, offering support, and caring for one another in meaningful ways.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, we’re deeply encouraged by these everyday acts of love. It’s a reminder that even small moments of care can make a lasting impact.
