Hi friends,

Sorry I didn't make an official post sooner, but OWEN IS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL! He is on two more nebulized medications to keep him out of the hospital, which adds 40 minutes to our routine each day, but we'll do anything to keep him healthy.

Thank you all for the love, positivity, money, and overall constant support for our little man. He is a trooper for sure! Our time at the hospital was made so much easier knowing we had our village looking out for us.

Thank you so much again from the bottom of our hearts! 💙🩵💛

Cystic Fibrosis Awareness month

Breathing Treatments
Due to the build up of thick, sticky mucus, CF patients must endure daily breathing treatments. These treatments are often liquid medicines that are made into a mist or aerosol and then inhaled through a nebulizer. These medicines include antibiotics to fight lung infections and therapies to help keep the airways clear. Depending on the age of the patient, the progression of the disease and the symptoms they may be exhibiting, the type of medicine and frequency may vary. While a healthy individual only uses a nebulizer to do a breathing treatment when sick, a CFer MUST do daily breathing treatments as well as physical/manual airway clearance to stay alive.
