Just two weeks until No Fascism, No Fear: A Fundraiser for NYC Immigrants! We’re super grateful that local artists are using their talents to raise awareness about the injustices immigrants face and how to help them. Come by Mama Tried in Brooklyn on Sunday, August 30 at 4:30PM to support CIANA and all immigrants in NYC!

Turnout was amazing for yesterday’s Backpack Giveaway in Jackson Heights! We’re glad the weather ended up good, and hope it will stay that way today for Council Member Tiffany Cabán and Assemblymember Jessica González-Rojas's next Backpack Giveaway, this time at Gorman Playground in East Elmhurst at 3PM. On Friday our team braved the heat to celebrate National Coloring Book Day with Elmhurst Community Partnership! We had a great time meeting neighborhood families and giving them fans, water bottles, and immigrant-centered resources.
