It’s heartbreaking to see so many parents refusing vaccines for their children because of misinformation and fear. Vaccines have protected millions of lives from serious diseases that once harmed and killed countless children. Every parent has the right to ask questions and make informed decisions, but avoiding vaccines can put not only their own child at risk, but also vulnerable people around them. Public health works best when communities protect each other.
Newborn deaths could have easily been prevented with one standard recommendation at birth, which parents are declining in droves.
