Rescue work is not possible without the funds. If I want to continue saving cats, I really need money for all of their medical costs. It's hard for me to take on the total bill by myself. As much as I would love to pay for everything, I don't have the means to and desperately need help in the form of donations.

Yesterday we finally caught the last kitten in the Richmond Hill colony I've been working on. This is where the pea litter and the powerpuff girls came from. Just like the others he is not in good condition, but he cane to me worse than all the other kittens. He is severely malnourished and was the most infested with fleas.

After a bath and his first real meal, he is now resting. I am working on helping him gain weight through a combination of dewormers and lots and lots of food.

I have a feeling all his littermates died and he is the obly survivor. If we had caught him any later I think he unfortunately would have passed due to his body condition.

Welcome the Powerpuff Girls

Bubbles, Blossom, Buttercup, and Mojo Jojo are the cousins of the pea litter (Chickpea, Peanut, and Snowpea). The powerpuff girls presented with the same problems, fleas and diarrhea, but ten times worse. After a much needed bath and several dewormers they are on their road to recovery. Mom is not very happy but she will be returned to her owner in two weeks when her babies are weaned.

So the pea litter and the powerpuff girls were born to two sisters, but guess what? Mom of the sisters is ALSO nursing kittens. What was supposed to be 3 kittens and a small TNR project has now turned into a huge effort for me. I now have 7 kittens and have 3-4 more incoming. Unfortunately these kittens are older and will be much more difficult to socialize and place into homes.

Another week, another litter of kittens...

These kittens are from the same property that the Pea Litter (Peanut, Snowpea, and Chickpea)
came from. I will be taking these cuties in with their mom who is already spayed. I will have them for about 2 weeks until all babies are weaned and mom will be given back to the property owner.

Please remember to fix your pets! The property owner started feeding one female who gave birth to two girls. Those two girls went on to have 8 kittens total even before they reached 1 year old! If we didn't catch this issue as early as we did, there would be a total of 11 cats in one colony by the end of this year. Just imagine how many kittens will come out of 11 cats.

Welcome Billie Eilish 🩵🧿

Saw this post in a local cat group and fell in love with her instantly. I quickly reached out and the person who found her dropped her off to me!

Billie is absolutely covered in ringworm. Luckily my amazing foster agreed to take her in and treat her!
Did you guys know that many municipal shelters euthanize cats for having ringworm? Despite it being easily treatable, shelters usually don't have the staff or resources to treat it. On top of that, it is highly contagious to both people and other animals.

If you see a cat with ringworm at your local shelter, I highly recommend just taking it home. Who knows, you may just save it's life.

PS. Do you like her name? She reminded me of Billie Eilish because of her dark bangs and icey eyes 🥰

Kitten season is so crazy, I have been taking new kittens weekly. Here we have BanBan (Korean for half and half) and the pea litter (Chickpea, Peanut, Snowpea). They will be available for adoption when healthy and big enough to be fixed. Stay tuned!

Today I went to Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter to pull these 4 sick kittens. The two black and white ones have URI and conjunctivitis. The grey one and the black one both have leg injuries. They will be rehabilitated and put up for adoption once they are medically cleared.

Helping your local animal shelter is so important! By taking these 4 sick kittens, I opened up space for new cats or kittens that may need help from TOH animal shelter. Please consider volunteering or fostering for your local animal shelter 💕

PS. I need lots of help with buying cat food for these 4 kittens and also my other rescue cats. Please consider making a donation if you can!
