She also chatted with us for the Newtown Literary blog about her creative process, the inspiration behind her poems, and how the natural landscape of Queens features in her book about the delicate dance between grief, parenthood, health, and illness:

Emily Hockaday's debut full-length collection of poetry, Naming the Ghost, was published by Cornerstone Press in 2022. Her second collection, In a Body, is forthcoming in 2023 from Small Harbor Publishing, and she is the author of five chapbooks, most recently Beach Vocabulary, from Red Bird Chaps.....
