We are so grateful for another successful year of serving the community .

I will share some great moments with you all soon.

But first I want to thank Ms. Uzamere and the Eagle Academy Southeast Queens for the in-school prom event they are having for the young men.

Anywhere Ms. Uzamere is she is diligently working to create and participate in events to empower and uplift students.

The Eagle Academy for Young Men III community was rocked by the passing of one of their own, 15 year old Jaden Pierre.

The park that Jaden often played in is where he lost his life.

As a child and teen, I played at Roy Wilkins Park, attended carnivals, went to camp, and events. It was a safe place for many of us.

I didn’t know Jaden. But now as a mother my heart aches for him and his family.

Thank you Ms. Uzamere for making it out in the rain to support the young men of Eagle Academy of Southeast Queens. I only get a glimpse of how much you do behind the scenes, but the impact is great.

Prayers for the Pierre family. Prayers for all students around the world to have the life God intended for them to live in abundance. Prayers for the educators and all who serve day in and out for the next generation.

Thank you Ms. Uzamere for staying in touch, even when I forget to follow up, you show up. You walked in and said “I made it!” We appreciate you ❤️

✨Donation Drop Off and Vendor Spotlight✨

has supported Shonda’s Prom Closet for over 10 yearssssss!

They are our FAMILY! Thank you to my great friend for sharing her mom and dad with us ☺️

Every year the local community come to the restaurant picking up their delicious meals and then ask “when do you start collecting for the prom giveaway?”

Words cannot explain the generosity, support, encouragement and LOVE Ms. Toni, the family and the entire staff have been to us.

We couldn’t do this year after year without you all! Thank you for your commitment to the cause and supporting the youth always! We love you ❤️❤️❤️

When they are in the room they are empowering the students giving them words of encouragement and access to resources and programs to support our youth. Not to mention they have supplied students with bow ties and makeup to complete their looks ☺️❤️

Oh and let’s not forget….they always bring the cocktail patties for the volunteers lol!

Thank you for all you do to empower, support and encourage this generation.

We are one week away from this year’s prom dress and tuxedo giveaway!

has supported Shonda’s Prom Closet for at least 8-10 years (still getting the years mixed up 😭)!!!!

Ms. Theresa and her family has provided express manicures for the parents and students.

They have also volunteered and assisted students. Last year we were able to dress one of her daughters for prom!

I cannot express the gratitude I have for their support and presence over the years.

To the crew, thank you and we love you!
