Big Apple Basketball took middle school girls to Madison Square Garden for the opportunity of a lifetime. The girls played on the court, attended a Knicks game, and got to meet Tracy Morgan and Tina Fey!

Thank you to the Junior Knicks for the hospitality and for hosting us.

A night we'll never forget.

Sometimes the early mornings produce the best results. Grateful for all of the young athletes and their families who consistently show up and put in the work — wherever you are. The lessons learned are bigger than basketball.

Congratulations to Michael Bowman (CCNY) on receiving the Burt Beagle Sportsmanship Award. 🏀👏
Bowman helped lead City College of New York to a conference championship while serving as a true leader on and off the court. He finished his senior season averaging 11 points and 3 rebounds per game and is pursuing a degree in economics with a focus on finance.
The award honors the legacy of Burt Beagle, a beloved figure in New York college basketball and the longtime statistician for Baruch College men’s basketball. Beginning in 1969, Beagle worked an incredible 930 consecutive Baruch games over 37 years, rarely missing a home or road contest and becoming a constant presence at the scorer’s table. He also served as the official statistician for Big Apple Basketball events from 2003 until his passing in 2007, and was widely respected throughout the New York basketball community for his dedication, humility, and love for the game. 🏀
