在慈濟長島青少年管弦樂團成立十三週年之際，適逢慈濟六十週年，我們將於6月21日（星期日）晚間，在紐約市知名音樂殿堂Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center隆重呈現主題音樂會——「點滴成河・樂響六十」（Drops of Kindness, a River of Love）。
本場音樂會以慈濟創立之初「竹筒歲月」的精神為靈感，傳承證嚴上人提倡的理念：日日存好心、發好願，將每一個人微小而真誠的善念，如同投入竹筒的一枚硬幣，點滴累積，終能匯聚成改變世界、幫助眾生的巨大力量。
在曲目安排上，本次演出精心匯集多首世界知名古典樂名曲，並融合樂團近年海外巡演時廣受好評、叫好又叫座的各地經典民謠。透過特別編曲，將熟悉的旋律轉化為更具層次與感染力的樂章，讓觀眾不僅能欣賞經典之美，也能聆聽別具風格、動人心弦的世界民謠，帶來耳目一新的音樂體驗。
當晚，青少年音樂家們將以真摯動人的樂聲，結合合唱團與手語演繹，用音樂傳遞愛與善的力量，帶領觀眾一同感受「一筒一善・匯聚成愛」的深遠意義。

Celebrating the orchestra’s 13th anniversary alongside the 60th anniversary of the Tzu Chi Foundation, we warmly welcome you to join us on Sunday, June 21, at the renowned Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center in New York City for a special concert titled
“Drops of Kindness, a River of Love.”
This concert is inspired by Tzu Chi’s founding spirit of the “Bamboo Bank” era, reflecting Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s encouragement to nurture kindness and good intentions every day. Like coins placed into a bamboo bank, each small act of goodness may seem simple, yet together they accumulate into a powerful force that uplifts and helps those in need.
The program has been thoughtfully curated to feature a collection of world-renowned classical masterpieces, alongside beloved folk songs from around the globe that have received enthusiastic acclaim during the orchestra’s recent international tours. Through specially crafted arrangements, these familiar melodies are reimagined with rich musical depth, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience both timeless classics and beautifully arranged folk traditions in a fresh and moving way.
Our young musicians will take the stage with heartfelt performances, joined by chorus and sign language presentations, using music as a universal language to share compassion, unity, and love. Together, they will bring to life the meaningful message of “One Coin, One Good Deed—Hearts United.”
