We are delighted to announce the honorees who will be recognized at the upcoming Tzu Chi USA Northeast Region Charity Gala! 💙
At the gala, we will celebrate the Four Missions of Charity, Medicine, Education, and Humanistic Culture by honoring four partners whose great love has touched countless lives in our community.
📚 Outstanding Education Impact Award: Nathaniel Hawthorne Middle School 74
For 30 remarkable years, MS 74 has walked alongside Tzu Chi to support students, families, and our neighborhood. We look forward to honoring Principal Brandon Contarsy and the generations of principals, faculty, and staff whose partnership has made a lasting difference in young lives.
This year, Tzu Chi Foundation presented its Outstanding Contribution to Education Award at our annual Gala to Intermediate School 74 (IS 74), which has supported us for more than 30 years.
We are deeply grateful to Principal Mr. Brandon Contarsy and Sandy, the PTA Co-President and also a parent of one of our students, for joining us at tonight’s event. Not only did Principal Contarsy record a video in advance to show his support for our Gala, but he also shared his personal reflections on our long-standing partnership during the event.
All of this would not have been possible without the dedication and efforts of our former principals and generations of volunteers who paved the way, as well as the continued commitment of all our teachers and volunteers today. Together, they have built a strong foundation of mutual trust and a meaningful partnership between IS 74 and Tzu Chi.
Once again, Principal Contarsy expressed his hope for another 30 years of collaboration with us! 🥰
