Happy Birthday to me.

Another year around the sun and I’m grateful.

This year sharpened me. I think smarter. I move with more intention. I appreciate life in a deeper way. Peace means more. Time means more. The people around me mean more.

This year we kept working. Feeding families. Showing up for the youth. Building stronger partnerships. Staying consistent. Keeping the community first like we always do.

But beyond the work, I’m thankful for my daughter. For my family. For the extended family and genuine love that surrounds me. The kind of love that keeps you grounded and reminds you what really matters.

As we step into another year, the vision is clearer. The foundation is stronger. The commitment is deeper.

Grateful for growth. Grateful for love. Grateful for life.

Happy Birthday to me. 🥳🫡🙏🏽💙

Fifteen years in and this Thanksgiving event has become something truly meaningful. When we first started my mom cooked most of the food, and a few volunteers helped us get plates out to the community. Over time it grew. More cooks stepped in. More volunteers showed up. People began signing up on Thanksgiving so families wouldn’t be left out.

Today it has become a full citywide effort supported by organizations from all over. Being on the ground together every Thanksgiving day is the real mission. It reminds you how important this work is. It brings joy to people who would normally spend the holiday alone. The impact and the connections we make out there are truly indescribable.

All of the locations and details are on the flyer. Swipe to find the closest spot, or share it with someone who may need a warm plate.

Thank you to everyone who donates, cooks, delivers meals, volunteers, or spreads the word. This tradition keeps growing because of the love and teamwork behind it.

You know the motto: “before we eat they eat.”
And I don’t see that ever anytime soon 🫴🏽💙

This Saturday we’re teaming up with for a fundraiser to support our 15th Annual Thanksgiving giveback.

Pull up to the Jamaica Ave location from 2pm to 6pm, show the flyer or mention iRock Charities at checkout, and Cane’s will donate 15% of your meal to help us feed families this holiday season.

Big shout-out to Zachary, Kevin, and especially Joe for the love and support from Raising Cane’s always. They’ve been giving back with us for two years now, from Queens to Harlem, even before their doors officially opened. That’s love.

If you’ve never tried Cane’s, Saturday is the perfect day to go. If you already love it, bring somebody with you. Let’s show up, support the fundraiser, and keep the spirit of giving strong.

One Love. ❤️

FALL FESTIVAL 2025 🍂🎃

Some moments remind us why we do this work, and this was one of them.

Families came out with carts, bags, and open hearts. Our team showed up to serve with love, food, a full pantry, coats, sneakers, bikes, and care. There were bouncy houses for the kids, household items for families, and even a live DJ keeping the energy high all day. What we all shared most was connection.

Seeing children smile in their brand-new sneakers, parents grateful for warm coats, and neighbors helping one another reminded us that giving isn’t just about what’s handed out. It’s about the love behind it.

We’re deeply thankful for Dr. Hubbard, whose heart made all of this possible, and for every volunteer, partner, and supporter who poured into the community beside us.

Together we are building more than events. We’re building hope, peace, and unity.

Happy 9th Birthday to my baby girl, Denise 👑💕

Nine years of laughter, love, and lessons from the brightest light in my world. You are my heart walking around on earth. My pride, my joy, my best creation. Watching you grow is like watching a masterpiece in motion. I thank God every day for you. ❤️ This year I won’t be a long caption because they already know the vibes with us.

Fifteen years ago, iRock Charities started with just 15 plates in my mother’s kitchen. Over the years, we’ve seen that we can feed thousands of people — 25,000 on Thanksgiving Day alone, plus countless more at events leading up to the holiday.

Now, our mission is evolving. We’re creating the Tri-State Table — a vision where families across New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey can come together for real sit-down Thanksgiving dinners. Not just a plate of food, but a place of dignity, warmth, and community.

We are so grateful to Citibank, ActBlue, Boost Mobile, Dr. Hubbard, and all of our incredible sponsors who have given us a head start this year. But this dream takes all of us.

The link to donate, volunteer, or sponsor is in our bio. There’s a seat waiting for you at the Tri-State Table. 🦃🍂

I can hardly believe that Stinky is embarking on her journey into 4th grade. It feels like just yesterday when I was holding her little hand tightly as we walked through the doors of Allen Christian School on the first day of orientation. The excitement in the air and a hint of nervousness made those moments unforgettable. Time seems to have flown by, and now she’s stepping into another exciting chapter of her education.

Watching her blossom into a remarkably intelligent and beautiful young girl has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I cherish every moment we share, from our laughter-filled adventures to our quiet, reflective times together. My heart beats with pride at being her dad as I witness her curiosity and enthusiasm for learning firsthand.

Here’s to another year filled with discoveries and unforgettable experiences together!

What a weekend it’s been. 😅

We kicked off Friday (Day 1) at Rufus King Park with non-stop basketball and love from the community.

Yesterday (Day 2) at Haggerty Park was just as powerful. Every game, every handshake, every cheer reminded us why we do this.

And now, today (Day 3) Sunday, August 17 — it all comes down to the Big Game IV Championship at Rochdale Park.
But this isn’t just about basketball. It never was.

This is about community. About showing up. About proving that change is possible when we stand together.

Last year alone, iRock Charities helped feed tens of thousands across the five boroughs, New Jersey, and Long Island. During the holiday season, we brought joy to hundreds of families with toy drives, food deliveries, and moments that reminded people they weren’t forgotten.

This weekend is a celebration of all of that and a reminder that the work isn’t done.

If you’ve been inspired by what you’ve seen, felt, or experienced this weekend, consider supporting the mission. Every donation, every shared post, every person who shows up it all matters.

The future is community. And we’re building it together.
