Scouts BSA Troop 144G, Queens, NY

The troop particpated at the Founders District Fall '23 Camporee this past October at Camp Seton, CT. They took 1st place in Knots and 3rd Place overall. Some of the scouts got a chance to use skills they learned while earning the Cooking Merit Badge.

Scouts & leaders from Troops 144G & 333 got together just before Thanksgiving to give a helping hand to the food pantry at the Love Oasis Christian Center in Queens Village.

Our scouts had fun last week while completing requirements for the Cooking Merit Badge only with other youth from Founders District. This puts them all one step closer to earning the rank of Eagle Scout.(Sept 2023)

The young ladies of Troop 144G have triumphantly returned from another enjoyable week of summer camp at majestic Camp Keowa of Ten Mile River Scout Reservation. Fun was had by all while successfully completing 14 badges and multiple rank requirements.(08/23)

Our troop teamed up with Troop 333 to compete at the Founders District "Trials of Shazam" Spring Camp-o-ree held at Schiff Reservation in Wading River, NY. Though it was a wet weeekend, the scouts had a good time and were able to come in 1st place in two of the events (05/23).

This past Memorial Day, the troop joined other units in showing their patriotic gratitude by taking part in the 34th Annual Laurelton Memorial Day Parade coordinated by VFW Post #5298 of Springfield Gardens, NY.

This past April, the troop gave assistance to the 113 Pct community officers in preparing for their annual Easter Egg Event. Even though inclement weather forced the event to be held inside the Roy Wilkins Center, fun, food and prizes were enjoyed by many children in the community.
