¡El Programa de Empoderamiento Juvenil de Verano 2026 de MinKwon ha extendido la fecha límite de solicitud hasta el lunes 22 de junio a las 10:00 a. m.!
Este programa está dirigido a todos los estudiantes de entre 13 y 19 años que se identifiquen como inmigrantes o provengan de un entorno inmigrante. El programa reúne a estudiantes de secundaria inmigrantes para que puedan aprender sobre las injusticias presentes en sus comunidades y las posibles soluciones a las mismas. A través de capacitaciones, actividades de alcance comunitario, educación y talleres, los jóvenes adquirirán una comprensión histórica y política más profunda de sus experiencias en los Estados Unidos.
Logística del Programa de Verano:
Nuestro programa tendrá una duración total de 13 semanas.
Del 3 de julio al 4 de septiembre, nos reuniremos los viernes, de 12:00 p. m. a 2:00 p. m.
Del 11 de septiembre al 9 de octubre, nos reuniremos los viernes, de 4:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. (para adaptarnos al inicio del año escolar).
No tendremos actividades los días 7 y 14 de agosto.
¡Todas las reuniones se llevarán a cabo en el Centro MinKwon! Los estudiantes recibirán entre 52 y 56 horas de voluntariado por su participación en este programa, además de refrigerios gratuitos, nuevas experiencias y nuevos amigos.

MinKwon's Summer Youth Empowerment Program 2026 has extended the application deadline to Monday, June 22nd at 10 am!
This program is for all students ages 13-19 who either identify as immigrants or come from an immigrant background, and is especially tailored towards students of color. This program brings together immigrant high school students so that they can learn about issues of injustice in their communities and potential solutions. Through training, community outreach, education, and workshops, youth will gain a deeper historical and political understanding of their experiences in the United States.
Summer Program Logistics:
Our program will run for a total of 13 weeks.
From July 3rd - September 4th, we will meet Fridays, 12-2 PM
From September 11th - October 9th, we will meet Fridays, 4-6 PM (to accommodate for school starting again)
We will have August 7th and August 14th off.
All meetings will take place at the MinKwon Center! Students will receive up to 52 or 56 volunteer hours for their participation in this program, in addition to free snacks, new experiences, and friends!
