When Army veteran and mechanical engineer Corey Schultz and his wife, Kandace, made the move from Texas to Queen Creek two years ago with their three young daughters—London (12) and twins Charlotte and Bella (9)—they were looking for a community to plant deep roots. 🐾 From Queen Creek to the Ponderosa Pines

On a crisp July morning at Schnepf Farms, the air was filled with the aroma of fresh coffee, warm conversation, and the energetic wagging of tails. Queen Creek Living’s own Content Creator, Laura McClure, and friend, Kathy Wollum hosted the very first Golden Rush community walk as part of the Golden Rush: Arizona’s Annual Golden Retriever Celebration . Neighbors strolled the shaded farm paths while a sea of happy Golden Retrievers did what they do best: spreading pure joy.

What started under the trees at Schnepf Farms was just the opening chapter of a much bigger journey. This autumn, Golden Rush Productions is bringing the herd up north for an extraordinary mountain getaway. From October 2nd through 4th, hundreds of Golden Retriever families from across the Southwest will converge in Flagstaff for three days of crisp air, pine trails, and community connection. Designed as an un-ticketed, organic gathering, dog lovers can pick their own adventure through America’s #1 dog-friendly town.

The Anchor Celebration: The weekend’s centerpiece is the famous Barks & Brews Pup Crawl along historic Route 66. Pups and their owners will tour 8 local breweries for 16 tastings, with 100% of proceeds directly supporting animal welfare through the Canyon Animal Care Foundation.

A Historic Backdrop: To make the trip even more memorable, the convergence coincides with the Route 66 Centennial, with the retro Americana Motor Hotel serving as the official host location right along the historic highway.
